A bit of a slow start for the boys but I like the chances they are generating both on the PP and even strength. Keep this up.

Sioux D is banged up and inexperienced this weekend. AA brought a big-time effort last year and made it very difficult for the Sioux. They played very physical. We might miss the size and experience that is convelescing. I think these are going to be very close games, though I don't know anything about AA's goaltending situation. I thought the defenseman is supposed to deny the pass and let the goalie handle the shooter. If Genoway had stayed with Gorowsky the pass wouldn't have come back to him and Eidsness wouldn't have had to try and cross the goal to make the save.

This is going to be a huge PK for the Sioux. If they can hang on and keep the 2 goal lead and get back to even strength it might help some frustration build in the Badgers.

I've been tough on Miller, but in the half of the game I watched he did some good things, including smacking a guy at neutral ice and taking the puck away. That goal he scored was an excellent sniper shot. I wish Miller and Genoway could get the puck past the first guy from the point more often.

Wait, I thought the Sioux weren't playing tonite.

That is always nice to see in the stands. He did that last year too, after the Saturday win. Or maybe he was just saluting NDH.

Looking back it looks like it was on channel 23 in the past and that slot is open on Comcast regular cable, so I'd guess there is a good chance that is the correct channel again this year. Nothing shows on the Comcast schedule but "local origination" so hopefully that's a good sign.

I saw some of these games on my Comcast cable setup last year but in checking Comcast's schedule I am not finding a listing for Friday night. Anyone have an idea of which channel this will be showing on Comcast's lineup?

I agree with you generally. There are certainly questions about this year's team that need to be answered. Losing 2 games in Mankato would be a concern, but I can also see it happening. I think Mankato IS a pretty good team, so these are not gimme games by any means. Yet a good team like the Sioux needs to at least take 1 game. I won't be completely satisfied with that but it all depends on how the games actually play out. It's pretty hard to predict a sweep for the Sioux at this point .

Wow, one game. Nope, no one has to be happy with the performance, but let's not forget last year winning huge over Michigan State. We all thought we would go undefeated to the National Title. Look what happened. Let's see how it plays out before we lay charges of "no heart", etc.
