I don't know if suspensions are really in order in this case. I don't think you can equate being in the bar underage with what Brandt did. It appears the boys weren't drinking, and that's a distinction that I believe is important. Yes, they weren't supposed to be in the bar but not drinking was a pretty smart move on their part. As for me, being in the bar underage but not drinking is pretty much akin to speeding or some other minor offense. Run them until they puke? That seems reasonable to me...

I saw 2/3rds of Friday's game. Everything else on the games I got electronically. My thoughts: PP sucks. How can it actually get worse than it has been? Hearing we lost 2-1 to BC didn't bother me too much? Why? Only gave up 2 goals. Not bad at all.... Concered we didn't get a lot of shots on net this weekend. Stafford looks like a veteran out there. Wow. Give Murray time. How many freshmen come right in a rip the place up? Genoway still getting points. Keep it up!!!!!!!

I know tonite's opponent isn't exactly inspiring but is anyone else happy to see Genoway score a nice goal tonite, in addition to his assist to Stafford last weekend? Hopefully Colby is catching up to the D1 game and become a contributor this year.

I'll just add this here. A buddy of mine said he read that Travis Roche played more minutes than anyone else on the Wild roster in the Chicago game, and was voted the #3 Star. Good for him!

I only saw the last 3+ minutes of the Wild game. Roche got extensive ice time as the Wild tried to manufacture a tie. On one face-off in the right circle, Roche was too far back protecting the blueline to pick up the puck which the center dropped back to him. By the time he got there so did "traffic". Had he gotten it quicker I think Travis would have had a fine opportunity to get it an open wing or bring it closer to the slot as we so often saw him do in college (while everyone was tied up). Regardless, in the last 30 seconds Travis had at least 1 maybe 2 shots on goal. One was not really a tough save but it appeared in the final flurry he had a shot that carombed across the crease and had there been a winger who could get ahold of it there was an open net for it to be knocked into. Beyond that I didn't see the game so don't know how he played. Bombardir got his bell run early on (saw a replay) and couldn't get to his skates, but was skating a shift again by the end of the game.

I took Blais' comment to be a more general comment that when you lose a guy to a fighting DQ it screws up lines for 2 games. However, I now think he meant the game in which the DQ happened, and then the suspended game. Makes sense now.

Even Zach said it is "almost" a waste of time to read the internet boards..... Yes, there are several parents who read and some who post here, that I know. You know there has to be more.

Good points, Jim Dahl. I understand the concerns but certainly hope we'll get recaps for those of us too far away to listen in. It should be possible to relate what was discussed in a safe manner.
