Based on game times, if we are playing Saturday night (knock on wood), we will have an idea of whether we "NEED" to win, or whether its nice to have. I think it would be fine to have the 8 highest ranked teams host a first round home game. First round winners (higher seed) hosts in the second round as well.

Watching the Canada vs Finland game with mixed emotions: Canada losing would recreate the uproar that used to happen every four years when Canada failed to medal, from the 1970s until the NHL allowed its players to go. That pressure is what it will take for the NHL to change its mind. (Yeah I am boycotting the NHL for 2 weeks.) But I would love to see Genoway get a medal.

Keeping the streak alive ... different lineup every game. Winning this weekend sets up keeping two more important streaks alive - the conference home ice and the NCAA appearances. Getting home ice certainly makes the road to Sioux Falls easier. And winning this weekend gives us a boost. PS Let's show up Friday.
