Watching the last 10 minutes of CC vs Western Michigan. CC really looks good, creating many good scoring chances. WMU getting nothing. Still 4-4, late 3rd.
Another Friday night with good team play. Really well coordinated, covering for each other and reacting to what your linemates are doing. With a lead, we actually look pretty good. (Conceding the first goal is a different story.)
I'm not happy that UMD got away with a couple minors that should have put us up 5x3 late in the game. Reffing the scoreboard - argh.
Congrats guys! Lets do it again tomorrow.
Our next three games are against ranked opponents, so we'll be fine.
We just have to convince the team somehow that the next four are against ranked opponents.
We seemed to be a little less predictable in the offensive zone. Maybe my imagination, maybe its just what Western was giving us, but we looked a little more willing to concede possession to try for a scoring chance. (For example the old fashioned centering pass .from behind the net .. which almost always goes through traffic.)
Congrats Boys! Well played!
Few things to improve, or stop doing, but that was a complete efforts. Anchored by another solid outing in net by Scheel.
Enjoy this for the next two hours, then get ready for Saturday.
Also, in continuing the conversation about Miami's troubles, Adam Wodon at CHN has some thoughts:

Andy Murray has connections all over, and I'm guessing a network of people sending him tips and ideas. It shows in their roster, which is from all over. They had a tough first 3 years of NCHC, but the last 3 years have gotten better and better.
