Hey Canuck, save your puke for the Gophers. The opinion above is just one. Nobody seriously doubts that the best Canadian talent plays major junior. But the idea that none of the best Canadian talent doesn't play major junior also stretches credibility. The most likely explanation is that the lack of NHL play means another 3-6 (?)players will be available to wear the Maple Leaf, squeezing out the competition for everyone else.

I'm wondering what the folks at the U of South Dakota are thinking about all this ... licking their chops at the chance to whup what's left of the NCC? ... or joining the parade ...

Ya gotta admire what Randy Hedberg has done with the SCSU program ... perennial doormat and a school with no tradition of winning to contender in a short period of time. The StarTribune writeup described him as "voice cracking" as he talked about what the game meant to him and the program. I have this feeling that SCSU will make November playoff appearances a habit as long as Hedberg is running the show ...
