  1. Dude you forgot Fannuel hall and raw oysters. I agree with what you said. I lived out there in 1988-1990 and Boston rocks as a city, there is tons of stuff to do. Lots of history and many neat things to do that don't cost anything. I have never seen the new Fleece center, but hope some day to come back to Boston and check out it out.
  2. Also had the chance to talk briefly with Zach's agent. Nice guy. Same agent as Jason Blake, Lee Goren, Grant Potulny, Johnny Pohl, and Peter Senja.
  3. no story to tell since we laid pretty low Thursday night but I love the fact that the Minnesota banner hanging in the Fleet Center rafters doesn't show 2003 as a year in which they won the NC. I too have received many compliments on my Sioux jersey (road green).
  4. And Zach will have guys like Hale who can drop the gloves to protect him in the NHL. A high stick to Zach's neck will have more consequences in the NHL than 2:00 in the box.
  5. Great Job!!! At least I won't have to listen to the Rouser in Boston!
  6. The altitude certainly could be having an effect on the boys.
  7. And what would that be?

    Sioux/Denver

I'm comfortable with either guy in the net. Does anyone know who was sitting last night? I don't think I heard/saw Stafford all night.
  9. It looks like the Sonesta is about 1.5 miles from the Fleet. From their web site I would guess that you aren't too far from the T but you could call the hotel to find out how far the station is. The web site also says they have a complimentary shuttle bus to points of interest.
  10. We are staying at the Holiday Inn -Government Center on Blossom Street... about a mile from the Fleet. We are paying about $160/night. I just checked online and it looks like rooms are still available.
  11. "I'm approaching it the same way I have every other game," said Quesada, who is 17-5-2 this season. "They play at a high level, but we played Maine, UMass, and Dartmouth this year, and they're the same caliber. I think the difference between our team and theirs is depth." Dartmouth and UMASS the same caliber as the Sioux? What is that guy on? Neither of those teams are even in the tourney. Sure they played Maine... and got smoked by them 7-0. Not sure what point this guy was trying to make.
  12. I would take Vanke on the Sioux... but I wouldn't trade Bucks, ZP, or Murray for him (you could probably add Stafford to that list as well). I think Vanek is a liability in the club house so it wouldn't be an easy trade no matter who we had to trade on the Sioux.
  13. sagard, despite what some here will say, you continue to be a very level headed and welcome guest on this board.
  14. I get that way too... esp w/ Jag running through my veins!
  15. Every team has them. But here is a suggestion... just ignore them (something people just don't seem to be able to do). They will quickly get bored talking to themselves and will leave.
  16. I think the MN-UMD game is the most interesting match-up of the weekend. Has MN really found their groove or has their recent success been a result of playing a weak SCSU team. UMD will beat CC and I really think UMD is going to beat MN as much as I hate to say it since I would really love a UND-MN final due to the electricity this rivaly brings (the Civic Center was amazing when these team met in the '97 championship). I don't like UND having to beat UMD for a 6th time this year. 1-UND 2-UMD 3-MN 4-CC 5-UAA
  17. Not playing MN and UMD twice will hurt UND's SOS as well.... This is the worst idea the WCHA has had in a long time.... just plain stupid.
  18. Well, I for one have thought all along that PCM was the 2nd gunman on the grassy knoll.
  19. I have no problem with the rule. It makes absolutely no difference to me when the Sioux play and when the Gophers play. Yes, the play in team has an uphill battle, but the moral to that story is to take care of business in the regualr season and don't put yourself in to that position. The WCHA makes much more money by having the Gophers play on Friday night. I don't know exactly how that revenue is split up but it certainly goes in to making the WCHA the best league in the country. I would rather watch a Gopher-whoever game in front of a packed house than 5 games with the place half filled. Economics goes in to most decisions in sports... that's just the way it is. The fact that MN has only won the Final 5 once since '96 demonstrates that it doesn't offer them a huge advantage.
