Does anyone know if the hockey season package includes the WCHA first round? It appears as if it doesn't but perhaps out of the kindness of their hearts (given the problems early on and no SCSU Friday game) they will include them for those that bought the entire season. Anyone know for sure?

Correct. They took it to the CCHA when the left the WCHA in 1981 and brought it back in 1984 when they rejoined the WCHA. The WCHA does not own the cup... it belongs to Tech.

The WCHA and CCHA wouldn't both use it. If the WCHA couldn't convince Tech to leave it behind the WCHA would have to find something else. This came up several years ago when there was speculation that Tech would leave after Northern bolted for the CCHA.

I think if Tech went to the CCHA the CCHA would start using it... it's the most prestigious award in college hockey.

Tech owns the Cup. If they leave the WCHA, they take it with them.

That was just every goalies worst nightmare... Bucks, Murray, and Zach coming at you 3 on 2 with a full head of steam.

Watching Tech on that last play was like watching old Stooges movies.... they were tripping all over each other.

Dataflix had a close up of the crowd when that goal was scored (it's young Brian's B-day everyone!)... pretty cool to see the reaction of everyone waving at the camera and then suddenly celebrating. (I did get to see the replay).

Who was the guy that used to do the play-by-play in the early 90's? He then went to MN and then to SCCC I think. Can't remember his name... I liked him. But it seemed bad luck followed him everywhere. As soon as he left UND the Sioux program turned around and MN went in the tank.

Good Parise... how about that Parise? ANYONE who watches him play has got to become a believer. I don't care if he scores 3 goals or gets shut out on the night, he is ALWAYS just incredible. In all of my years of watching the Sioux, no one who has put on the Sioux sweater compares. We have had some great ones. Tony, Bob, Greg, Jason, Jeff, ect., every game I watch Zach play just blows my mind. He just CAN'T be that good.
