Well I've been a big supporter of Dataflix all year. But tonight they out did themselves. It was like watching it on TV. The camera work was fantastic... no buffering. Just awesome. They usually don't hear the compliments... just the complaints. But it was working flawlessly tonight... not a single buffer. Good job!

I was watching the YES network today (it the local Yankees baseball channel... think it stands for Yankee Entertainment System), and they were showing some hockey news program (NHL Cool Shots I think it was). On this program they were showing some sort of celebrity pick-up type hockey game... they had Dennis Leary, Michael J. Fox, Cam Nealy, Pat Lafontaine, among others. I think the first game was taking place somewhere around Boston, and the second game was on Long Island. In the first game, amidst all of the action on the ice, I spotted one of the players wearing a Sioux jersey (the new style). The camera was naturally following the stars so it only saw it for a second and wasn't sure I did actually see it. Then during the post game hand shake I got a good look at it. Didn't recognize the player so I don't think it was a former Sioux player... but it was just odd seeing it out there on the ice somewhere in Massachusetts. Didn't see any other college jerseys on the ice. It

Last night was the first night in quite some time that there has been any problems with dataflix... It seems they have fixed the problems with the bandwidth that they had earlier in the year. It was working fine last night until it just quit with about 3 minutes left... seems likely this is something unrealated to bandwidth. If they offer this service next year I'll be the first in line to pay my $100. Sure, it has been frusrating at times, but better than what I had before which was just listening to the radio feed. I'm gald I have had the opportunity to watch every Sioux game this year (except for the Friday SCCC game of course)... it's not something I have ever been able to do even when I lived in GF.

MN just has not been playing well on the regular size ice surface. Could bite them in the but if they get sent to play anywhere but CO for the regional. They are probably the best team in the nation on olympic ice. Would not want to play them there.

Dataflix has been working well since the first of year. Something must have happend in Duluth.... too bad it has to happen now.

I was contacted about a month after the auction last year asking if still wanted to buy a Jersey. I was the 2nd highest bidder on one of the jerseys and I guess the guy who had the high bid turned out to be a fake or just didn't pay. So there is still hope.

In addition, UND simply outplayed WI on Sat. They controlled the puck more and did a good job of limiting quality shots... unfortunatly we had a goaltender meltdown that let the shots that WI did get off find the back of the net. So I don't buy the argument that UND can't play on the big sheet. I will admit, however, that MN is certainly a more formidable opponent on Olympic ice than any other team UND will play against.

There were problems at first... which Dataflix recognized. They seem to have fixed the band width problem though. I have had no probelms the last 3 or 4 weekends. I say go for it.
