Yeah I think your right. UND soccer coach uses back up goalies to do in-game tweets under her name.

Spivey continues to give no slack to UND's elite players (they repeatedly have to weave through a mob to get to the net carrying two or three players on their back) when they're surging offensively. But if the twins so much as breathe on a poor little opposing player, Spivey and his crew can't find the whistle fast enough. I thought the refs were supposed to call it the same way regardless if your an elite player or a run-of-the-mill player. It smacks of the old "Parise rules" in the men's WCHA. If you're elite, the refs will find a way to level the playing field. Yeah, I'm bitter after that display tonight by the stripes.

Great! Tailgating should be beautiful! Sadly, I will be missing this one, as we are taking an autumn family vacay to the Black Hills this week. I hope everyone comes back to work Monday with their voices as hoarse has mine tends to be after a UND homegame. Make it loud and make it hell on those guys from Cal Poly -- and not just on 3rd down!

The attendance for this next game agaist Cal Poly is well on its way to surpassing the attendance of any game we hosted last year, and will be one of the biggest since before the transition era.

Cal Poly message board is giving UND a lot of kudos and respect early in the week. Much more so than we're used to from other schools on Siouxsports. I hope our boys aren't reading their message board -- might get a big head.

I respectfully disagree. I hardly think the Spirit Campaign announcement was a debacle. If that's your example of a debacle; I'd like to know what you call what is going on PR-wise at NDSU right now, or at Penn St., etc. Rather I think your overly hyped and skewed sense of what is a big deal now following Ralph's extraordinarily generous gift is what is and was in play. What do you want UND officials to say every time something like this comes up ... "it's a big deal, but not Ralph Engelstad big"? Sheesh! Just be happy it's not the state revoking $14 million from UND We are spoiled, aren't we?

Yeah, I think we are all kind of spoiled and jaded after the granddaddy of all gift announcements back in 1998. I think that kind of gift is akin to a school winning the lottery. Only a very very very small number of Universities see gifts of a magnitude that fully fund something big and build it now. $100+ million is rarified air as far as University gifts go, and we'll likely not see anything like that again. Our expectations have to dial back a tad.

Nice support from an influential leader in the petroleum engineering industry. I beleive the North Dakota Industrial Commission (Gov., Attorney Gen. and Ag Secretary) is supposed to give a thumbs up to its portion of the funding this morning.

Per UND Media Advisory sent early today: UND TO MAKE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT MONDAY, SEPT 24, 1:45 P.M.

That's one we'll never live down, and deservedly so. That was the low point of the transition, and a much needed wake up call. Kind of like our Youngstown vs. Michigan.
