  1. Love the concentration in Jameer's eyes on this geat catch for a TD last weekend! Edit: Photo #19 http://www.sacbee.co...rth-dakota.html
  2. Cal Poly message board is giving UND a lot of kudos and respect early in the week. Much more so than we're used to from other schools on Siouxsports. I hope our boys aren't reading their message board -- might get a big head.
  3. I wholeheartedly second that big thank you, Mr. Hamm!
  4. I respectfully disagree. I hardly think the Spirit Campaign announcement was a debacle. If that's your example of a debacle; I'd like to know what you call what is going on PR-wise at NDSU right now, or at Penn St., etc. Rather I think your overly hyped and skewed sense of what is a big deal now following Ralph's extraordinarily generous gift is what is and was in play. What do you want UND officials to say every time something like this comes up ... "it's a big deal, but not Ralph Engelstad big"? Sheesh! Just be happy it's not the state revoking $14 million from UND We are spoiled, aren't we?
  5. Yeah, I think we are all kind of spoiled and jaded after the granddaddy of all gift announcements back in 1998. I think that kind of gift is akin to a school winning the lottery. Only a very very very small number of Universities see gifts of a magnitude that fully fund something big and build it now. $100+ million is rarified air as far as University gifts go, and we'll likely not see anything like that again. Our expectations have to dial back a tad.
  6. Nice support from an influential leader in the petroleum engineering industry. I beleive the North Dakota Industrial Commission (Gov., Attorney Gen. and Ag Secretary) is supposed to give a thumbs up to its portion of the funding this morning.
  7. Home cooking, big home crowd, deafening Alerus Center, false starts, forced time outs, we're underdogs in the polls, defense and running game starting to put it together but still p!$$ed off for not playing up to ability --- this next one against Cal Poly has all the makings, folks!
  8. Siouxfootball Insider is tweeting UND did not make Top 25.... points show them at 28. Have to beat #23 Cal Poly to crack the poll.

  11. I am pretty sure this is the one. Details later today.
  12. Per UND Media Advisory sent early today: UND TO MAKE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT MONDAY, SEPT 24, 1:45 P.M.
  13. That's one we'll never live down, and deservedly so. That was the low point of the transition, and a much needed wake up call. Kind of like our Youngstown vs. Michigan.
  14. Sic, Check out WDAY sports in a few minutes... they might have highlights of "The Catch II" by Jameer!

  16. Did you get a chance to see it, Sic, when it happend on Big Sky TV? Wow. It was sick. What an embarrassment of riches at WR we have and we get Oliver and Fletcher as redshirts freshmen next year and not lose anyone else.

  18. Ok, guys and gals, take this for what it's worth... a quick cursory look at the Alerus Center ticket site shows already as of Sunday evening with 6 ticket selling days to go about 9,620 Alerus Center seats as "unavailable" (presumably meaning purchased or reserved) for the Cal Poly game. By comparison, the official attendance of the most recent home game against PSU was 9,200 and last year's attendance against Cal Poly was 9,930. I would imagine these "unavailable seats" already take into account the reserved student seats but does not guarantee that all of those seats will be taken by students ( I can't imagine why they would not turn out in huge numbers, though, for this one). All that said, it looks like we are off to a great start for this weekend! Go UND!
  19. We had 9,200 for the Portland State game this year, and we had about 9,930 last year for the Cal Poly game for homecoming. No reason why we should not break 10,000 for this big game. There's no early deer opener that I am not aware of, is there?
  20. A little trip down memory lane (last year) if you will. Go UND! http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPID=6399&DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=205320968
