  1. I wonder how many of the doofs who took the pucks also left the restroom without washing their hands?
  2. This thread was started for what purpose?
  3. Who is Jenny? And why in the world would you call her Craig? What am I missing here?
  4. I'll betcha!
  5. I'm not so sure we about Oshie, Lee, Chorney and Finley. I'd say Oshie is the closest of these four to leave, but even that is IMO not a forgone conclusion. I do agree that this will be Toews farewell tour.
  6. You've captured the best sentiment contained in this INCH tripe. How many of us (locals anyway) realize just how lucky we are to be able to sit in the Ralph and watch the finest college hockey players on the planet play a game they
  7. Ummmmmm, I think it's "old skool".
  8. ^ The first read I had on the selection criteria indicated last year's 16 teams would not have changed a bit; a couple of teams were sent to different regions. I think the sum total of the changes will be seen in how teams schedule their non-conference opponents.
  9. ^ I didn't realize Nascar had taken over management of European hockey!
  10. If either Cam or his brother have the talent — and character — that Roger did while playing for the Sioux, they should be prominent recruiting targets for UND. Roger was part of a huge freshman class that came in '73 replacing a big bunch of upperclassmen Coach Rube Bjorkman cut loose. Two other names in the class that should be well-known to all Fighting Sioux fans are Brad Becker and Tom Goddard. I watched (through somewhat hazy eyes ) this class for three years as they generally got their hats handed to them. It was a difficult time to be a UND hockey fan in that they lost so many games. Lamoureux's character however — and that of several teammates — was clearly evident even as the losses piled up. Talent without character is a curse. Character without talent is desirable, but it wins few sporting contests. Talent and character is the ultimate goal.
  11. I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you.
  12. Ii was just about to start the same thread. Here's the take on the issue from the Boston Globe. http://www.boston.com/sports/colleges/arti...guage_at_games/ I am a free speech proponent, but when the cheers (most obviously "organized") resort to profanity or ethnic and/or sexist remarks, I don't have a problem with some enforcement. I don't know how one will go about policing the new policy, however. And I feel like I am picking at a scab here, so... I'm sorry, in advance.
  13. I'm sure glad no one who had any designs on defacing public property was doing any planning or speculating on the subject on a easily-traced internet site.
  14. D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one. Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? He77 no! Otter: Germans? Boon: Forget it, he's rolling. Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... [thinks hard] Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! [runs out, alone; then returns] Bluto: What the f*** happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my a33 from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer... Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these b*******. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. Bluto: We're just the guys to do it. D-Day: Let's do it. Bluto: LET'S DO IT!

Aren't you supposed to be at work?
  16. In some strange and obscene way, I feel my life is now complete having seen that image. Thanks MM.
  17. And we wonder why some college students have a warped sense of reality! (Not that there's anything wrong with that)
  18. Is not.
  19. Good golly...as exciting as it is to see the Sioux getting commitments from quality players, does this strike anyone else as sort of ridiculous? Three freakin' years before he gets here? On a related note, Chase Allen L***, my grandson, has non-verbally committed to skate for the Sioux beginning in the 2025-26 school year. L*** is believed to be the first '06 to commit to any DI team. Sources close to the UND coaching and training staff had this to say in relation to the committment: "We really like what we see in this young man: good hands, good vision, and a real nose for the net. We'll continue to monitor his progress as he proceeds through his development." Another source said the Sioux staff hopes to be on hand early next year when L*** takes his first steps, and again when he is fitted for his first skates as a one-year-old.
  20. I'm in.
  21. This, truly, is an image I could've lived quite comfortably without ever even thinking about.
  22. You omitted Diggler.
  23. And wouldn't that just be a shame.
  24. And you shall be duly recognized...By the power vested in me I hereby proclaim redwing to be the Assistant Assistant Midwest Ottawa Scout!
