  1. This may very well be the most honest and profound post I've read here for a very, very long time. Frankly wish I'd strung these words together.
  2. Looks like I'm going to have to go along with Goon here: I see Wisconsin and Tech pulling "upsets"; top three seeds win easily. It would be nice to see Tech at the X this year instead of just their band.
  3. Is your name Carthart?
  4. I really think a #1 is out of reach. All the people we'd beat to win the Final Five who are above us in the Pairwise we've already pretty much cleaned up on this year. What we'd need is to have some flukey stuff happen out east, I think. We'd need two comparisons with New Hampshire flipped; and I'm too tired and way too old to try to figure that out tonight.
  5. You are correct! Jay? What's Diggler going to take home today?
  6. Lucia's post-game on the tube: he's NOT happy. "We WILL be working hard THIS week." Can you imagine the pressure he'd be under if the Gophers mailed it in again this March?
  7. Tech still up 5-3, 4:00 remaining
  8. Nice. Obscure for sure.
  9. I remember watching Grand Rapids win back-to-back in '75 and '76 at The Met! They had quite a run: 2nd in '72; 3rd in '74; 3rd in '77; and 2nd in '78.
  10. Kind of OT, but Roseau beat Moorhead 1-0 for the Section 8 title!
  11. I just realized this is the third-place game. Someone should've told the team they didn't need to work so hard.
  12. Keep working... need to get that all-important eight-goal lead! Scores out east: U-Mass 3 Maine 2 late in 3rd Boston College 4 New Hampshire 1 middle of 3rd
  13. Keep it up boys. Time to get that all-important 7-goal lead! Where's the dude who started the "why can't the other guys score" thread?
  14. Meyers also told TH that he (Hennesey) covers the "best team in the WCHA" right now.
  15. I've yet to decide which defensive pairing looks weirder: 5'8" Robbie Bina with 5'9" Chay Genoway OR 5'8" Robbie Bina with 6'7" Joe Finley.
  16. That's a little harsh. Seriously.
  17. ^ that sent a tingle up my spine
  18. I know as a card-carrying member here at SiouxSports I'm not supposed to put any stock in what INCH says, but I like their brackets in this week's 4x4: INCH 4x4
  19. The Bracketology piece actually lays out a scenario under which UND will go east, which looks to me to be a bit easier road to St. Louis. It really depends on how the Sioux do this weekend, and how the NC$$ decides to handle travel.
  20. I'd hate to even know your liver. jeeze, man, time to turn down the wick a little bit.
  21. (never mind)
  22. +1
  23. Especially if those messages are: UND 3-1 End of 1st UND 5-2 End of 2nd UND 7-2 Final

    WCHA Refs

Kinda early for that stuff isn't it?
  25. I heard from a fairly reliable source that a well-known Grand Forks businessman had (before the drawing) offered well into six figures to whoever won the chopper!
