  1. What those numbers really mean is that the DU and CC guys will be running the pro hockey teams that UND guys are playing on.
  2. Really!?!?!? Hate!?!?!? Seems harsh.
  3. I probably could've gone all month without thinking about Shepher's smelly movement. Heck, maybe all year!
  4. I am merely searching for something to unite us; to bring us together. A clarion call that will cause us to join our voices as one. To set aside our petty differences and rally 'round a common goal. I seek to end the divisiveness and diversion that distracts us from that greater good. A balm for the pained among us. A soothing salve. A path to the healing that is so desperately needed by my sisters and brothers here. Can you feeeeeeeeel it? Can you belieeeeeeeeve it? Can I get an amen?
  5. Pre-pre-season Top Ten Ready, aim, argue
  6. hostile and abusive, if you ask me.
  7. It's always about you, isn't it Sioux-cia?
  8. Hey, I'm not that old!
  9. I'm for playing O Canada before every game. It gives me goosebumps. I also want out-of-town scores posted all the time on the video ring. They could take a panel and rotate through other scores so the Ralph doesn't have to give up so much precious ad revenue.
  10. Breakin wind - bringing a breath of fresh air to SiouxSports
  11. I have absolutely nothing concrete on which to base this post (but when has that stopped me?) but I disagree on your assessment that the St. John's job would be a step down for Guentzel. Money-wise, I'd bet the jobs are close; the head coaching salary at Collegeville may even be a little higher. And if the dude wants to put his family first, or at least closer to first, coaching at the DIII level is certainly not going to eat up as much of his time than being a top-flight DI assistant has. I can't imagine the hours of windshield time he's had to endure over the years. Certainly the prestige level of DIII vs. DI is a step down, but I question anything beyond that.
  12. Rather keep them barefoot and pregnant, huh? Seriously, your Neanderthal garb is showing.
  13. ^there is room to negotiate incentives. Toews' contract has a $1,750,000 performance bonus for this season!
  14. Not that this is unexpected, but negotiations are underway: In other Blues news, team President John Davidson said preliminary talks have begun with the adviser to former No. 12 draft pick T.J. Oshie, a forward at the University of North Dakota. "We've started some discussions with his family adviser and we'll see where it goes," said Davidson, who hoped to make progress by the end of the week.
  15. This isn't one of those "Rick Roll" thingies, is it? I'm thinking clicking on that link can only bring heartache and disaster into my life.
  16. Not this again.................
  17. If you ever listen to the audio on that clip, Trupp clearly calls "Marty". While it is still a one-in-a-million pass and goal, the two of them knew what they were trying to do.
  18. Bump. Take a look at some of the predictions. A fun walk down memory lane.
  19. Yeah, I'm with you and Goon on this one. I think the 08-09 Fighting Sioux will burn out the goal lights.
  20. Obviously I'm not an attorney, but I don't think a sporting event for which an admission fee is charged is a public accommodation, so the free speech argument probably doesn't strictly apply.
  21. He should probably be tarred and feathered merely on principle. Perhaps daily; certainly weekly. An aside: I still think Todd Anderson called a couple very good games in Denver. I'm starting to change my mind as to his abilities.
  22. What!?! Why didn't you tell me this before I renewed my season tickets? No hockey next year? I wonder if they'll give me my money back!?!?!?!?
  23. Aren't you guys s'posed to stick up for one another?
  24. I love TJ on the ice. Off-ice, he's a great, fun-loving kid with an unfortunate penchant for getting into some scrapes. He's putting himself in unnecessarily perilous territory with these last couple of incidents. His probation for the '07 minor on premises offense stipulated he violate no criminal laws for twelve months. The disorderly conduct charge was filed in Feb. '08 and is in pre-trial conference status. Now this latest. I'll agree that none of these three "offenses" amounts to a hill of beans, but this is a pattern of something. I don't know what kind of consequences being found guilty of either of these two recent deals would have on his '07 sentence imposition. But it seems like he's either thumbing his nose at the law, irresponsible, stupid, or a combination of any or all. It's disappointing.
