How many don’t even end up at Michigan. Weren’t there a couple this year that decided not to go the college route? I know Perfetti was another that didn’t go the college route. We’ll see if Michigan can continue to reload after losing guys and make the tournament. They put it together late last year, but they lost some talent again, so the studs better produce early like the others seem to have done.

But with all those issues, they still managed 2nd, 4th, and 6th round picks in the draft. Not quite our draft, but most schools would take that.

Funny how things work out. When Eiserman was committed to the gophers he was a top 3 projection, now he has fallen below Boisvert.

Typically if you are smaller and don't have elite skating ability, getting drafted high would be an exception, but who knows there could be a team or two that values hockey sense and think that minor skating issues could be overcome. We saw teams try to sign Kawaguchi, even though I had misgivings about him making the NHL without elite skating ability. Hopefully he gets someone to believe in him, and if not, I certainly would take a 4-year Kawaguchi type career at UND.

Trying to outscore teams outside of the regular season obviously hasn't worked for them. Maybe they realize that they need some shutdown defense as well as a buy in to the postseason style of play.

So when does Schlossman put out his top 20 targets that will be eligible to commit on August 1. I know it isn't completely comprehensive and includes a local flavor since they may be more likely to be targets, but it is always nice to get a gauge on who we could be after when that deadline rolls around.

Yes, in a sport like college hockey, it might be best not to burn the bridge, as everybody is looking for games at one point or another. The CCHA might need games against a conference like the NCHC to improve their Pairwise standing.

The thing is, I think the value of a defensive stalwart you can depend upon is huge for how tight the playoffs are. Add in his amazing athleticism, and I think there may be a team or two who could take him in the first round. Of course you look at all those names, and there are studs everywhere. We always see one of those studs fall quite a bit, for numerous reasons. Naturally Emery could fall as well, but if he has a nice combine, which I expect he would, he could raise a few more eyebrows.

Guess this is the crime thread, not community in general, but the mosquitoes in this town are criminal.

Has anyone else noticed that there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of ATV’s out doing larvicide for mosquitoes. Maybe it’s just perception, and maybe the rain has prevented getting out ahead of it, but whatever it is, we finally get a few nice days and you can’t stand still or you will get eaten alive. It’s almost as bad as people that talk about not giving a very small amount of money if UND gives a coach an extension. I can imagine if you had any money what kind of demands you would make, considering you want every coach fired now.
