Was hoping they could have made it close if they could have had some ball possession and the defense didn't have to be out there the whole game. It was evident early that wasn't going to happen. Knowing that the offensive line didn't give us any time, holes or push, it frustrates me that the coaches thought another athlete could find a hole where there wasn't any. Why pull the redshirt off of Iwarri Smith in that circumstance and trade a season where he should be learning and bulking up for one that will give him the best chance to succeed? Our offensive line needs to get better, and not so sure we have the horses there to let any running backs succeed, much less a bunch of true freshmen.

How can you not even have some quick hit slants where receivers have body position to get a few first downs? Given two seconds, a high school tandem could achieve that. Why is that not at least attempted when they can't do anything else?

It appears that we just have a bunch of fat guys on our offensive line, as you would think when you know what you are going to do, you should have a few plays go your way. On defense, I thought I was watching the Mussman era, playing 10 yards off of receivers with no aggressiveness to try for turnovers. Way too much respect for the Bison. I would much rather get beat being aggressive, so let's at least see if we can win the second half and be competitive when we play to win.

My prediction for the Wyoming game was that regardless of the way it went, there would be some that would draw conclusions down the road that aren't realistic. Hopefully we can get to 2-0 before we play NDSU, then that game could be huge for us, because if you somehow find a way to squeak one out against the 4-time National Champs, you would probably only need to go .500 the rest of the way to make the playoffs because of the credibility of beating Wyoming and NDSU. But like you said, first things first!

Not saying he isn't classy, but knowing how crazy Bison fan's are, I would try to temper expectations on the game in a couple of weeks too. Some may think if they don't win by 30, Klieman should be run out of town.

I think I saw where they were replacing 9 of 11 players on defense, which takes a while to gel. That said, beating talented teams is impressive, no matter how young they are.

But the Massey only had us losing 3 games the rest of the season!

As long as they take that money for that extra year of pro hockey and use it to finish their degree, I don't think it hurt them that much. I don't think either one of them was going to develop enough in that extra year at UND to further their career in pro hockey, as they were both borderline pro potential to begin with. Of course the fan in me would have liked to see what they could do in their Senior season and add to their legacy here. That's what they missed out on in my eyes, the brotherhood and legacy they can't get back, not the development for one more year of college.

Yeah, take that, add some fierce snorting from the horse and an equally mean rider, and it may be something to work with to separate logos.

Neither did the numbers for your President's house and chauffeur , but they still happened. Nevermind the fact that we don't know what the plans are going to be cutting back in certain areas.
