  1. Plexiglass started in the 40's, UND didn't get it until the 70's.
  2. Yeah, we act like the UND hockey program has always been gifted everything. At one point they had chicken wire for plexiglass and a freezing cold arena, and this was after they won a National Championship. There is a reason that the hockey program became the face of the university, they didn't whine and complain, they just made do with what they had and started a program with a rich tradition. I find it funny that the people that complain about the "hockey only" crowd only show up on this hockey forum to complain about the hockey program.
  3. But it was from the Engelstad Foundation. Maybe they need someone to donate to the football program.
  4. Tyson Dyck drafted in the 11th round. I assume Youngstown figured that was worth a shot, especially if he chooses a college sometime soon.
  5. Kind of like how the CHL tries to poach players from college hockey, and some of their methods are far from upfront.
  6. Couldn't agree more. UND's bread and butter sport needs to stay ahead of all the new facilities coming on board.
  7. McKinnon - Avs Kaprizov - Wild Gaudreau - Flames Huberdeau - Panthers McDavid - Oilers Aho - Hurricanes Makar - Avs Toews - Avs Ekblad - Panthers Slavin - Hurricanes
  8. Youth Hockey Hub saying Broz to Denver.
  9. Forgot about Charlie Strobel. If he is going to Minnesota this fall, he would be another 21 year old freshman. Seriously, how are we not hearing about Motzko's recruiting when Mankato is evil in their pursuit of older players.
  10. Let's hope it wasn't against Cornell or the US. National Development team!
  11. Nelson sure has been on the scoreboard consistently since joining the US Development team.
  12. I think they pushed Perbix, Brinkman, and Sorensen to the portal, so lost might not be the terminology for all of them.
  13. So Schlossman has Casey Dornbach going to Denver, and some on GPL were hoping he would go to Minnesota. You can’t make this stuff up. It looks like he turns 25 in July, yet the fan base that rails on Mankato, are fine with older players as long as it suits their needs. He would have been great alongside incoming freshmenJohn Mittlestadt who will be 21 in October, and Garrett Pinoniemi who turns 21 in July. So I guess Minnesota does like everybody, do what is necessary to be competitive.
  14. St. Cloud was supposed to be as well this year, but they need to approach this off-season like last year, in getting the newcomers up to speed, and the returning players need to bring it this summer to make the next step.
  15. Remember when it was just the stars that had to say they were coming back or not!
  16. On the other hand, I thought they had the potential to lose Knies up front and Faber, Lacombe, and Johnson on the back end which would have been a big hit. With Koster back along with Mittlestadt coming in, their back end alone will make them favorites in the Big Ten regardless of who they lost up front. Just saying our fans do the same thing, thinking the new guys are the answer, when most likely it is the guys like Broz taking a step forward, having already experienced the learning curve.
  17. Wasn’t he one that some were lamenting losing to Minnesota? I do agree that he will be a good one when he’s an upperclassman. You almost need to keep a scholarship open for last minute surprises now.
  18. Would love to see him bury a few game winning goals against the gophers.
  19. Just like some of our fans, I love how some gopher fans are fine with Broz and Lucius leaving because of what they have coming in. So last year, they were excited about those two but now they are all in on the incoming recruits, like it is a given they will perform so much better than a top draft pick and top USHL performer from last year. I get it with Cooley, but the rest are not certain to be impact players right away.
  20. Guess that's what happened to you in the GOBC. Plenty of better guys came along and they cast you aside to make room. Guess we can all understand now why you seem to be so clueless on the inside scoop.
  21. My thoughts are that the coaches didn't think he was ready, and don't know if they would have brought him in regardless of Hain and Senden staying. If he wasn't ready and had to sit, I imagine he or the people advising him would tell him to enter the transfer portal after a year.
  22. Is that going in on the opposite side of Target from Gordmans?
  23. There is a sign that says something to the effect of Target construction deliveries in the back, but I don't know if they are just using the space while they do the renovation to their store, or if they plan to expand into that space as well.
  24. Waiting to hear from DAR as to where this rumor is coming from.
  25. So if Minnesota asks your boy Jimmy Clark to play junior hockey another year after next year, does that mean they don’t want him? What about your other boy Shaugabay, if Duluth tells him to play another year of juniors after high school? Smpl qustion!
