  1. Sometimes I think this must be what it's like living in North Korea. We're completely delusional if we think that they've done anything other than kick our ass the last decade. It's time this university starts fucking competing.
  2. I think Faison's silence today was pretty telling. UND is not going to fund FCOA for any programs but men's and women's hockey. The man is completely clueless.
  3. I think this just proves that NDSU is headed towards the new second tier of FBS while UND is content to stay in what is more or less the third tier of collegiate athletics. It gets really old watching this university screw the dog and tell us how hot she is for the last 10 years. I feel like those running this university won't be content until UND has a 5,000 student enrollment and applying for the NSIC in every sport except for hockey.
  4. Well if that's accurate then it's a hate crime. He won't be charged because you can't charge a dead person but I'm pretty sure had he lived he would have been.
  5. I think it's fairly obvious that the shooter in South Carolina killed 9 black people attempting to advance a political ideology- white supremacy- based on killing and intimidating black people. The shooting today was awful and the perpetrator was a truly evil person but nothing has come out indicating that the shooter had any intention of advancing a political ideology or attempting to intimidate or inspire future attacks against an entire race of people.
  6. I support the coaching staff's decision to go with Studsrud. I trust their judgment on this. I also know that a UND QB hasn't started every game of a season since Klosterman in 2001 so we'll likely need at least one if not both Mollberg and Bartels. To those who think they should transfer over this, I'm just going to say there would be a few less banners hanging at the Alerus if guys like Joe Wilson, Chris Belmore, Reed Manke, and Lee Groeschl had that kind of attitude.
  7. No one is re-arming Iran. The international community is lifting sanctions if they choose not to enrich uranium for the purpose of building nuclear weapons. As far as your genocide comment, right now Iran is fighting ISIS in Iraq and, unfortunately, is murdering thousands of Sunni muslims while doing so. ISIS is doing the same to Shia muslims on their side. I don't see how the U.S. getting involved and killing both Sunnis and Shias on both sides is the solution especially when both sides are considered our enemies.
  8. Wow, god forbid your kids have to go to a school with black and brown people. How awful that you won't fit in at the PTA meetings with your hood and white sheets?
  9. So NDSU's position is that their female students are less interested and less able to compete in collegiate athletics than the female students at peer institutions such as SDSU, UND, and USD. That's an interesting position. Maybe NDSU should put that on a recruiting poster. I'd love an NDSU administrator try and justify the 150 scholarship gap between men's and women's athletics at NDSU. It's pretty much indefensible. This would be the perfect issue for someone at the Forum or Herald to do a story on if they weren't too busy breathlessly covering UND's new nickname process.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. From my understanding of how NDSU's is applying the interests and abilities test for Title IX compliance, all it would take is for someone to circulate a petition to a number of NDSU's women's club teams (women's hockey, lacrosse, whatever it takes to make up the 150+ equivalencies) to see if there is support for starting an NCAA program with scholarships and then present it to NDSU's administration. NDSU's administration would then need to start women's athletic programs or risk not being in compliance and thus subject to lawsuits. Is this correct? Let's get on this. It seems like it's only a matter of time until either NDSU funds the equivalencies by starting women's sports, drops 150 scholarships of mens sports (So long Bucky) , or better yet loses a big lawsuit and then does the first two.
  11. It says right in that article that they'll be working with US Navy Seals and special ops teams? It's not like those guys deployed themselves. Obama has used special ops to combat Islamic terrorism throughout his presidency. Do you really want to see a wider scope of engagement? What's that look like and what is your objective? If you can't answer those questions then you really shouldn't widen the scope of a military engagement.
  12. Well then hopefully he continues what he has been doing which is the best of a bunch of bad options. We're fighting ISIS with drone bombs and special ops forces. That's the best option we have unless we want to partner with one of ISIS' numerous enemies in the region. At this time, ISIS is at war with Iran, the Iraqi Shia militias, the Taliban in Afghanistan, off and on with Al Quieda, the Kurds, and Bashar Assad's regime in Syria among others. Which one of those groups do you want to align with? Please don't even mention the Free Syrian Army as the group is pretty much a fabrication of the U.S. media.
  13. Both are largely the result of the fact that it's far too easy for any nutball to get access to a firearm but we can't even ever seriously consider that in this country. Roof was motivated by white supremacist racism and the shooter today was motivated by radical Islam. Both are evil forces and should be eradicated. We've invaded countries to fight radical Islam but taking down a flag that 72% of African Americans consider offensive, since it has been used by the Klan and other racist organizations, to instill fear and intimidation towards their community is apparently a step to far to combat white supremacist racism.
  14. Babich was forced to resign as much for what happened in 2001 as what happened in 2002. When you get destroyed by your in-state rival in one week and then have your star RB injure himself kicking in windows at a school across town and showing up high as a kite for the next week's game, it's safe to say you have lost control of your FB team.
  15. Yes, and we should rename those as well. It's time we remember the Confederacy for what it was, a bunch of losers who took up arms against their own country for a stupid and outright evil cause. Germany doesn't have monuments to Nazi generals or fly the Nazi flag as part of their heritage and neither should we fly the Confederate flag in the U.S.. It's simple as that. If that hurts some feelings in the South and I guess apparently on this website then that's just tough.
  16. No, it won't fix everything but the next time a disgruntled good old boy or one of Oxbow's internet pals shoots up a black church the families of the victims won't have to have their funeral procession under it.
  17. Apology accepted... I apologize as well for questioning the sincerity of the sympathies your post expressed towards the families of the victims of those shootings. Also, I'm sorry for your loss today in the SC Senate. It has to be tough knowing your loser flag will no longer fly over the home of the Confederacy.
  18. Please keep this garbage at Stormfront rather than posting it here...
  19. Similarly, I have wealthy, white American clients who demand services that they have no intention of ever paying for all the time and yet I don't stereotype all of my other clients who fit that description because of it. Also, shouldn't we all just pause for reflection on whether it's prudent or ethical to whip up animus against ethnic and racial minorities a day after we had a white supremacist terrorist in South Carolina murder 9 people in cold blood.
  20. You see crap like this and then you can see why the players at Northwestern unionized. It's only a matter of time until this whole exploitive system gets blown up.
  21. So will Bison fans accept payment for tickets to this game in currency or do I have to barter for them with livestock?
  22. FWIW, Stubhub already has 4 endzone corner tickets up for $655.50 a piece. There are not any for any other NDSU football games yet.
  23. I know it's probably impossible for most students due the cost/time investment, but would love to see everyone who gets a loud party citation that weekend plead not guilty and request jury trials. It would clog up the municipal court system in Grand Forks enough that it just might force the city council to rethink this idiocy.
  24. I'd never dream of desecrating Ralph's nor anyone else's graves. I have to admit though that I'm half surprised his body hasn't been exhumed by some of the posters on this board and his bones worshiped as holy relics.
