  1. The situation and the players I described did not happen at UND. It was how Bohl handled his DUI incidents. Starting WR Shamen Washington suspended 1 game. DE with a ton of potential Garret Johnson suspended 1 game. The qb everyone wanted to name starter at the time who also had a couple previous minors Jose Mohler suspended 2 games. Backup QB Troy Jackson who everyone knew wasn't going to see the field, released from the team. I am basing my opinion on how Bohl is handling this to how he has handled past occurances.
  2. I'm happy that the UND coaching staff has always been consistent with their punishments to players regardless if they are a starter, a backup, just coming off hip surgery, etc. Based on Mussman's past it wouldn't matter if lets say the starting qb, starting wr, backup de with potential or backup qb all committed the same offense, they would all be treated and punished the same.
  3. I'm hoping the fact that it is a short week and everything being shut down on Monday has a lot to do with the student ticket situation this week. Hopefully things pick up today and tomorrow. Its going to be an entertaining game.
  4. Bohl is letting 8 situations play out right now and didn't let one play out 2 weeks ago. Inconsistencies. And stop trying to drag UND into this. Coach Mussman does not have to decide how to handle this situation cause the name of 8 UND football players is not in the paper and all over the news. You are asking a hypothetical question and wanting an answer. We don't know how Mussman would handle this cause he didn't have to have a press conference yesterday to address the issues, Bohl and Taylor did.
  5. Ojuri already got the hammer, worked wonders.
  6. Just my opinion but if someone put my signiture on something without my authorization I would be pretty pissed off and wouldn't think it is not that big of a deal.
  7. I don't have to justify anything. Two weeks ago with your program, punishing a player before he "had his day in court" was just fine. Yesterday, its not. I was responding to your post about not knowing for sure who did what and based on interviews I've heard with the AG, it isn't hard as all they have to do is look at the signiture of who is responsible for each petition.
  8. You hit that one on the head. I think Muss's track record speaks for itself when it comes to discipline and consistency. Pretty black and white.
  9. It shouldn't be to hard to figue out who's petitions had the errors on them if you look at the signiture of the circulator. As the circulator, you are responsible for the petitions you turn it.
  10. I think your incorrect. When the petitions are turned they have the signitures of the circulator that Sic mentioned above. This wasn't the entire team of circulators. It was these individual circulators who had a very high number of "errors" on thier petitions.
  11. Maybe he'll really flex his muscle and sit them during spring ball. If all they get for this is having to run a couple extra crunchers after practice it will raise some eyebrows.
  12. But its not. Craig Bohl had a press conference today to discuss the charges against 8 of his football players from NDSU and Gene Taylor had an interview today to discuss the charges against 8 athletes within his athletic dept. Again, nothing to do with UND or any of their athletes. If you would like to revisit items from the past we can definately compare situations within both programs via PM.
  13. Not UND's deal. Stop trying to drag them into it. Its Gene and Craig's mess and we are seeing exactly how they would deal with it.
  14. Two things: This wasn't UND hockey players and UND has nothing to do with this conversation. Don't even try to bring them up because UND has nothing to do with this mess. I also want to make sure I understand your thought process on this. These young men signed up for this responsibility to collect signitures voluntarily and if they would have done the job properly they would have gotten paid for their hard work and the fine job that they did. This money would have been theirs to spend however they choose to because they earned it. But since they didn't take the time to understand the job they needed to do in order to get paid, it is someone else's fault and someone else should suffer the consequences of thier actions? So my question is- how old are these kids and what exactly are they going to do when they get into the real world? Some of them are a year or two away from graduation and I know my company sure as !@#$ wouldn't hire someone who wants to get paid for the job they do and wants a pat on the back when the job goes good but is quick to point the finger when !@#$ hits the fan. And you sir aren't much better for thinking that is ok and making excuses for them.
  15. Tough break. It will be interesting to hear the entire story.
  16. Ticket sales seem to be going ok for the game. Ticket master shows open seats in the corners sections and 2 of the sections on about the 10 have availability. Other than that it is fairly spotty throughout. Another strong student turnout would be outstanding and hopefully being Potato Bowl will give ticket sales another boost this week for what is going to be a fun game to watch.
  17. Was anyone else kind of surprised that SUU only scored 3 against Utah St.? I wasn't expecting a win but thought they'd put up a few more points.
  18. Last nights game was the absolute best I have seen the student section at a UND game in nearly 10 years. They need to be praised for showing up and they need to hear the message that next week, a loud Alerus Center could be the difference. Last night they were startng their own chants, banging on chair backs, heckling the opposig team....doing what needs to be brought back to the Alerus. The rest of the fans need to get the same message. Last night played out how I wanted, big plays to start the game, some big hits and an absolute blowout. Everyone left with the feeling we have a pretty good football team in Grand Forks. Hopefully the other side of the field shows up next week and supports the team. Already 2 starters short on offense, we need all the help we can get. Portland St. is a good football team and this game is going to be a very good benchmark on where we are at as a program. As stated many times already, this game is a must win to get to the 7 win mark, we have to win at home. The point I wanted to make though is hopefully the coaches, players, local media and local fans let the students know how much they appreciated the support and how much they will affect the atmosphere next week in Grand Forks. I personally can't wait for the game.
  19. Well thought out post with breaking information we were not aware of.
  20. Plus the students who were sitting in empy season ticket seats in 214 and in the endzones. We showed up to our season tickets and there were students in our seats and the seats of others around us. The ones who stayed said the student section tickets were all gone so they gave them tickets in the endzone areas and they wanted to move down. More than 3 sections worth.
  21. If you want to move all the coaches offices to the Alerus along with sports medicine and academic center and an updating training facility I'm sure you could spend 40 million. Good thing the IPC is only going to cost $19 million.
  22. Mr. Positive speaks again. I guess we'll find out in a few hours.
  23. Tailgate Village does not open for another hour. Dont let it ruin your day.
  24. Thanks for the service Teeder
  25. Was he looking at the right schedule and roster? According to Fargo media, coaches and fans it is easy to get the two schools confused.
