As UND starts beating these teams you will see something develop. You could see how much the loss bothered MSU last year. Other teams and canvases have to feel threatened before they take interest in the Hawks.

Shanks struggling at the start

I was wondering what happened to that guy. He was an incredible athlete. If I was them, he would have gotten every play.

Hasn't he suffered enough?

At the point last night when we started to open the lead that we had Crandall (FR), Hooker (Jr.), Seales (True Fr.), McBuckets (True Fr) and Bernstine (So.) in the game. I was very impressed. Than I thought we have Avants (True Fr.), Shanks (So)., Baldwin (Jr.), and Collins (True Fr.) off the bench. Not to mention Cashman who is a capable big man if he can get grades in order.

He likely needs to show the athletic dept. and coaches how important he is so he doesn't get put on the naughty list again like in the past.

We are lucky to have him for another season. I often talk about how players in the past haven't improved under Jones but Hooker has gotten so much better every season.

Dan's barometer for a good recruit used to be if they had a "rivals page" so at least he has moved past that. Than when UND got commitments from 3 star rivals players he changed his tune. Probably rightfully so. If this class is broken down- I agree to a point about other offers but you also have to recruit players that fit your system. Defensively UND run's a system completely different than anyone else around. It recruits different players than what NDSU, SDSU, UNI or USD need to run their defense in the front 7. In the secondary, we kept a kid with a preferred walk on opportunity to Wisconsin and 3-4 that had the "multiple offers" Dan is looking for. Some of those offers were even to FBS schools. Offensively, up front we signed kids with offers from MVFC schools which fit the style of offense that Rudolph wants to run. The skill guys were all in camp and I have no issues with the talent evaluation of this coaching staff. They proved last year that after having the opportunity to see kids in person, they can identify the type of kids that will help on the field.

Best defensive game I've seen this team play so far. Loved it on FSN Plus. Watched the game at a packed resteraunt downtown Minneapolis. Great showing for the team and a bunch of Minneapolis kids. Cant wait until Saturday.

I could maybe see one Texas school. It seems to be the thing to do for recruiting purposes of your a football league.

That guy is a little bit of a trail blazer, started at Washington St., transferred to Louisville, he than left Louisville and went back to the JUCO near his home town to get more attention and landed at Montana St.

Its the NCAA so anything is possible but you are essentially flopping time you would be spending with the staff lifting with practice time and vice versa. There may still be a two week period but the additional month to condition and heal any injuries from spring ball is a benefit.
