  1. They won two games in their conference tourney. Preseaon #2
  2. Sure. Go with that
  3. I think Jones earned another year. I'd be for bringing him back with the expectations laid out.
  4. This has nothing to do with setting standards. I've spoken with a few close to the program and NDSU has some injuries and locker room issues. The coaches decided it's best to shut the season down. Money could be an issue but that was not mentioned.
  5. I know it's tough to call a foul at that time but there could have been a call on the offensive rebound attempt.
  6. I thought last night was one of Crandalls best overall games. He was aggressive and made plays for our offense. On the last play of regulation, it was a good look. Can't ask for a better shot. I remember a two game stretch earlier this year where people were on Jones because we gave the ball to Hooker on consecutive last shots. The play was fine, just have to make the shot.
  7. I thought that was one of Shanks better outings since he has been here. He also played pretty well defensively. The missed shot hurt at the end obviously but he was had a good game otherwise tonight.
  8. Frustrated for the team. Excited for next year. This one needs to leave a sour taste in their mouths.
  9. That one was tough. Fun game to watch. We missed plenty of opportunities. Officiating was terrible. I sense a small rivalry starting with Weber in hoops.
  10. The hotel draft was sure one sided. 6 of the 8 remaining teams are all at the Eldarado. Not that there is many fans with the teams though. I do agree though. I see attendance going up every year. If a person could swing it, you have a week full of basketball and the games have been pretty good.
  11. You need to give Jones some credit every once in a while. He had the team motivated to play.
  12. If you mean Bolomboy solid, we don't. However, Avants and Shanks have been better than all but 3 teams post this year. *Weber, Montana and EWU
  13. I don't think so. They are lost between trying to run the shot clock and keeping doing what has been working. I'm hoping they can get this to about 25 with 7-8 minutes left and sit some people down for the night.
  14. Weber wins by 4. Good game.
  15. PSU down one, will get the last shot if they want it.
  16. Weber back up by one with 3:30 left
  17. Bolomboy just picked up his 4th. This will be a good finish.
  18. Weber is up 9 at half vs. Portland St. 46-37. Weber has made 7 three pointers this half. Forte from PSU is having a huge first half. (15 points)
  19. They don't rotate real well in zone and SUU killed us with guard penetration.
  20. WOW. ISU with a three at the buzzer to upset MSU.
  21. Some really good games tomorrow. I like our matchup with ISU. Crandall has to play with composure but also with that chip on his shoulder tomorrow vs. Telfair. In the other games I wouldn't be surprised if either UM or Weber got beat. PSU and Sac. St are playing very good basketball right now. The EWU and UI game is a toss up to me.
  22. You really want to throw stones when it comes to weed Dan? How far back do you want to go? Actually, do you really want to bring up any punishment in regards to off field conduct of football players.
  23. Funny you come here after winning the Summit tournament. Congrats on that by the way. As the Summit sits today, it will always be a one bid league. In order to move past that, SOS needs to improve, schools will have to start directing more finances to basketball and the school will need to keep the schools willing to do that (Denver and Omaha) and add a couple more. When you do that, you lose a couple non conference games. Also, all the schools top to bottom need to get wins vs. top 30 programs non conference and win more than the occasional one game in the tournament. The Summit is in a nice spot but its not close to getting any at large bid. The Big Sky is no different and the bottom teams in the league have a lot more work to do in order to improve the quality of basketball in the league.
  24. After watching the Summit tourney it's pretty clear it's as close to home court as you will get. 80% SDSU fans.
  25. Sac. St with the first upset of the tourney beating MSU by 4. They will be a tough out for Montana. Round 2 shaping up to be very good so far.
