It doesn't matter to me. I don't care about the CIT and a coach is payed based on performance. Fact is he has ZERO wins in those appearances and his teams are consistently around .500 record does not deserve a raise. He has been an average coach with ABOVE average talent during his ten years. One could argue that he has under performed with his team. What has he done to deserve a raise? If we suddenly paid him $50,000 more per year would he be a better coach? Again, big week for this program and its coach.
-
LOL, if Jones gets this program to the level and recognition of Weber St. I would have zero problem paying him. Until than your talk is equally as cheap as he has done nothing to deserve a raise in 10 years. Without using google, name who was in the CIT championship the last 2 years.
-
Its a fair question. 3 early exits from the CIT tournament is not exactly something to pay a coach on. I will say he has done a good job of building this years team and put himself in position to have a case for an extension. Big week for the program.
-
Would have put him 3rd at the combine among LBs and 11th among all RBs.

Why does a horn have to be exclusive for hockey?

I've played sports long enough to know that losing is as much of a part of it as winning. Guess I'm not sure at what age showing poor sportsmanship "in the heat of the moment" no longer acceptable?

Disappointing.

Being a bad loser when people are watching is not a strong quality.
-
Situations like that are exactly when you judge someone's character.

Is forming a group another way to say forming a committee? I assume this committee will give a recommendation to the president. I am guessing they will also be served drinks and maybe some food at a meeting or two. Sounds like a committee, money being spent and a recomendation of a decision to the president to me.

Disagree. The FU fans were waiting for the MT game before ESPN was involved. Next years EWU game will get hyped as well. You also can't compare non conference to conference games. Not as much at stake.
-
That would really simplify non conference scheduling
-
You AD wants to raise student fees to cover additional travel costs. Apparently they have more than doubled in the Vally/Summit in the last 2 years Probably couldn't budget for all the additional travel costs of the big sky
-
The NCAA will get involved if FCOA was given to a higher percentage of male athletes? Do they have concern for the percentage of scholarships?
-
Got any defensive stats? namely points allowed.
-
He didn't have the strongest o line. He likely had the best group of WR at one time at UND.
-
Thank you but why let facts get in the way of a good argument. The funniest thing is the athletic dept used getting student funds to the level of other area schools as a reason to raise them. No one called them out that they are already paying more student funds than area schools.
-
Don't worry, we can always use the third prong survey vs actually offering opportunity. Or does that only work if done in Fargo. Apparently women don't want to play sports anyway.
-
Your athletic dept also said they wouldn't seek funds from students for 5 years. Were they supposed to actually wait 5 years?
-
He has to pass the same amount of credits as others to be eligible. He also won't be handed a spot when/if he returns.
-
If it is true that he wanted to focus on his family, that speaks volumes of his character. Its also great news that he is coming back as he is a tremendous amount of talent that could open doors for him in the future if he avoids injury and improves as expected by getting stronger and more agile. Good thing all the way around if true.

A sentence in the 3rd verse of a song is the same as a nickname held for years? Nice try
-
I was serious. The odds of the state of ND having more than one pro day are pretty slim.
-
You mean offer FCOA? We did this last recruiting session and it didn't seem to be an issue. Using your logic NDSU and UND both followed Liberty. They were the trailblazers for the rest of us.
