  1. Not trying to pile on you in particular. Many UND fans are very gung-ho about cutting this program while few have ever actually attended a game. After spending the entire football season listening to the fans bitch about attendance I just thought someone should stick up for women's hockey. These women work hard and deserve some positive attention
  2. Maybe you should attend a game. Take some friends who haven't been. Try and start a turn around
  3. How long do I have to wait for you of you to post the video???
  4. As I understand it (which really isn't well), it sounds as though you want to fund men's hockey, basketball, and football to championship level... As they have the highest return on investment. That is what, 150ish student athletes? Where does that leave you with women's sports being funded to the same level? Volleyball and basketball or 40ish athletes? This is where I feel the Title XI stuff comes in. You've got 150 male athletes using the best facilities around, including a $100 million ice rink. You have no equivalent for the female athletes.
  5. I personally enjoy women's hockey and attend the games while I am in town. I think with hockey being so popular in the area a lot of little girls grow up learning to skate and potentially playing hockey. If we cut the women's team, fewer girls will have the dream of playing hockey. I also enjoy the international flair on the team and having numerous women's players in international tournaments including the Olympics. That being said, I live in Colorado and only make it to about a game a year. While attendance is higher now than when I was I college, it still seems small for the large building. I would think k for women's hockey, cutting the team will save you coaches salaries (although would there be a severance package?), travel, and equipment. You aren't saving money on facilities because the Ralph is still there. I see both sides of the argument. I understand that women's hockey doesn't generate revenue. But a majority of the sports do not. I would look at lowering expenses for women's hockey and hope to keep it.
  6. Soccer plays on a front lawn.... At halftime they huddle under a tree. Are there actually any seats for spectators or do you have to bring your own chair?
  7. Are you gonna use all eight? Ha
  8. I want to go! Do you think there is ANY chance tickets will still be available to the general public? I am not feeling very optimistic
  9. Nah he wasn't wearing a jersey. He did say he missed the WCHA though
  10. This was an odd game for me. I sat next to an NDSU grad who is a Gopher fan. He kinda cheered for CC but mainly cheered against North Dakota. Who goes to a game specifically for that purpose???
  11. What's the logic with the 6pm game time on Sat?
  12. I am going to the Saturday game... so far we have won the two games I have been to this season. So I think we at least split
  13. Hey! We're on the board! If only we had a defense.
  14. Win or lose, Jordy is amazing!
  15. Is Brad's live chat not working?
  16. Wolanin playing forward?

  19. Thanks guys. Now I just need my coworkers to decide if they want to go or not... Lol
  20. Anyone have an tickets for the Saturday game in Colorado Springs? Also, anyone have any advice on attending games in Colorado Springs? Places to eat? Sections to sit in?
  21. A potential for critical injuries today... Jordy being #1. If that wasn't broken ribs I will be surprised. Was good to see Montgomery come back into the game.
  22. Is anyone else irked at the College Hockey Inc ads that don't even include UND?
