We live in a difficult time. People are so easily offended and society as a whole seems to think nobody should be offended. Either way, you have to be careful what you are saying and doing. Why fan the flames for no reason? Joke or not, people will always take it out of context, especially when it makes it on to the Internet.

Not really sure what to say about this, or if the thread will be allowed to stay open. But I stumbled across what I thought was a bizarre message on Facebook from the University President. Reading through the comments I learned and saw what was the original "incident" (picture). Perhaps someone with a better knowledge of computers can post the letter from the President. The question becomes: how do schools and the public in general, respond to issues such as these? I know I am not phrasing this very well, but I don't know how to do it any better. There is no place in society behavior such as this. The University campus is a place where everyone should feel welcome. I am on this site multiple times daily... Although on the mobile version so I rarely scroll past the forum headlines.

So either I am oblivious or they do a terrible job advertising outside of Grand Forks but I wasn't even aware the team played last week. I wanted to try and listen to some games this year because I hope to attend two and now I am already behind.

Because it is blander than bland and boring as hell. Being white on a white jersey it simply looks like blank space... Maybe we can play only Taylor Swift songs too so that it is all related.

I still think a white logo will look stupid on white ice. It is just going to blend in and look like nothing. Maybe someone with Photoshop skills could create a mock-up and I could be persuaded otherwise? Until then I am content with the interlocking ND, how dare they use an official athletic logo.

I am not a fan of the green on green, even with the white boarder. Blends in too much. Either way, I will still attempt to come up to GFK for a weekend to see football and hockey.

Not sure where to put this but I am curious.... does anyone know if the bushes in front of the Ralph still spell out Fighting Sioux ? They do in Google maps but who knows how current that is.

Do you people also not step on cracks in the sidewalk because you don't want to fall and break your back??? I don't buy the curse... I also believe it will be the ND at center ice and not he new logo but I have been surprised before. Too much white ice with the new logo (and I realize that sounds odd as I type it). I just think we need some sort of color in the middle. Besides, who wants a red line right through the bird?
