All five goals up high? Was that person watching the same game I was? Let's see: Goal 1 - Irmen scores on PP on cross ice pass from Guyer, slides puck in on the ice. Goal 2 - Waibel walks around sprawling Brandt and scores; puck stays on the ice. Goal 3 - Vanek walks around sprawling Brandt and scores; puck stays on the ice. Goal 5 - Potulny steps from behind the net and banks in shot off Brandt's pad; puck stays on the ice. Agreed that Brandt has a tendency to flop, but to comment about how all five goals were scored up high is ridiculous. Edit: sorry, jk beat me to the punch!

I don't agree. With Duluth dinged up, the road is much easier for the Goofs. Even with a healthy Duluth squad I still believe the Northeast Region with BC, Michigan and UNH (regional in NH) is much tougher.

I will be in C23 for the Sioux game and C30 for the Goofer game - come visit me, I would love to have a little "chat" - I will keep my eyes peeled for your shortbus helmet

There was a bit about the Sioux on KVLY at 6:00 tonight and it appears that Bockenski, Parise and Murray are reunited as a line for Friday's game. I know it isn't he coaches show, but at least it gives the fans something to talk about now that Basil used his/her uberpowers and resolved the television controversy.

I agree. With where they currently sit, they certainly have an uphill battle to get in - and I, for one, hope they don't make it.

You will be more confused than you typically are at a hockey game.
-
All I know, is they both deserve to be in the Top 10!
-
YOU have yet to cite a fact. You keep asking, if this, if that. WTF, if you don't know the answer, then stop blasting others and put a lid on it. Now showing, Conspiracy Theory, starring matinee idol, PCM!

Considering the first question in your first post asked, Does Fox, and Fox only, have the exclusive rights to the final 5?, the remainder of your argument in your separate post is based on flawed logic and supposition. If Fox has exclusive rights, then what is the point of UND being more proactive with regard to broadcasting the Final Five? Perhaps before being so snide to others you should take pause and find the answer to your original question. I find it ironic that you are bagging on PCM, who regularly shares great insight, information and knowledge about things/issues related to UND hockey, AND called YaneA a tool last week for posting game sign ideas, which have been fun for a lot of people, when it becomes more apparent with each of your posts who the real tool is.

Tell me, when was the last time they were the #1 seed in the Final Five?
-
That would be fantastic - well said. The ONLY downside to that is I believe the X stops serving beer, except for one area in the Club Sections, sometime during the third period of the night game (based on experiences in the past). If we are going to be surrounded by Goofer and Bulldog fans, access to beer throughout the entire game is a must!!!

They played at least three of the six this past weekend at REA and I, for one, enjoyed hearing them there!
-
How will you feel about being 5-0 against the Goofs, if you are 0-6 against the Sioux???
-
According to another thread, both Friday games will be shown on FSN. Although I will be at the X, I hope the afternoon game is shown for those Sioux fans that can't be there.
-
Yep! If UAA wins, we battle either them, who tied us at home and is capable of very hot goaltending, or CC who beat us at home. Assuming we survive that battle we have to come back against the Dogs or Gophs! Not an easy road at all.
-
Yes and yes.
-
As an aside, ANYBODY who states that the new REA lacks atmosphere either wasn't in attendance or was in a coma during tonight's third period. It was loud and it was rockin' just like a UND hockey arena should be!!!

With the popularity of the Final Five, I don't think it really matters which team is playing, many, many tickets will be sold for both semifinal games. Hopefully, the league will deem the "Minnesota Rule" irrelevant and scrap it in the years ahead.
-
Historically, the MacNaughton Cup is a curse, so UND already has an uphill battle using that perspective - so I say, why not heap on the #1-overall-seed curse. Hopefully, UND could then kill two birds . . . . . .
-
I think the bigger question is, does UND have an interest in him? To that, I don't know the answer.
-
CRR, Actually you should care because I believe the #1 overall seed is the "home" team throughout the tournament, therefore, they get the last line change, which means UND, if #1 overall, could match lines in the FF - we all know DB is a master at that - so it is huge.
