He actually landed on his back, but prior to doing a flip replays show his knee making contact with his own goalie.

You dream about men?

I don't know if it has been posted yet, but the Flames recalled Commodore on Saturday.

Rumor has it that Conner is a very good player on a very bad team, but I can't say because I haven't seen him play this season. Part of the reason he hasn't gotten a lot of print, besides his affiliation with Tech, is that when he has played on a big stage against great teams this season he has not done well. In the nine games he has played against four of the top six teams in the pairwise rankings, ND, Mich, Duluth in Minnesota, he only has six points, with five coming against Duluth. During the Friday night UND game he didn't even have a shot on net. More often than not, great players play well in big games against great opponents. Conner has not yet shown that he can do that. That being said, I look forward to watching him play at the REA later this season, but hope his lack of offensive production against UND continues.

Matt Carle, defense, from Denver played in the recent WJC.

Who? Mike from Michigan or Paul from Denver or is there another Comrie???

Although the Gophers looked very good on Saturday, you should not overstate the obvious. The reality is, the Gophers are currently the fifth place team in the league! Will they finish higher, probably, but are they currently the fifth place team, yes! However, you say the power is a more accurate reflection. That being the case, you are saying you are on par with that powerhouse SCSU as you are tied for sixth. Is that an accurate reflection? Keep in mind that if the season ended today, 8 of the 10 teams in the WCHA would have to be in the tournament. As strong as the WCHA is, if SCSU is the sixth best team in the nation, Denver the ninth and Alaska, of all teams, the 13th, then I have to wonder how accurate the power rankings really are. Perhaps you should make an eye doctor appointment.

Denver stats Although he is tied for the team lead in penalties, it doesn't appear that Dora has been assessed a major penalty this season, but Smaby's DQ in that series may have been for a slash on LD.

He did!
-
He didn't retire. He was doing some reffing out west - for what I do not know. He was also the official in the replay booth during an NHL game I saw last season or the season prior. btw, Adam is a Denver resident!
-
I think Lukas Dora has to be singled out. He is the Pio that made the following bonehead statement before UND destroyed them earlier this season: "I know they have been playing well, but I still think we are the better team."
-
As do I!
-
Off topic, but some clown on POI just started a Is Parise Overrated? thread! How absurd is that?
-
After Parise played the puck it clearly bounced off a Gopher player which nullifies the highstick. The goal should have counted, but in the game of hockey there are a lot of should haves. Hey, a nullified goal and four straight penalty kills, I guess it is lucky the final was only 2-1!

?? If there is no reason for it on their board, as you state, then there can't possibly be a reason for it here!!! Isn't there a saying about imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. . . . . . why would you want to flatter them by imitating them? But, if you are returning a favor, return it - over there.
-
As for the topic title, who cares? We don't need this kind of garbage on this board.

They won 31 and lost 35 according to the boxscore so it was actually quite even!

Sioux forward making waves with improved play By Mike Cummings sports@forumcomm.com The Forum - 01/23/2004 GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Confidence is a scary thing. In the case of the University of North Dakota junior Colby Genoway, a little-known forward prior to this season, a renewed sense of confidence has buoyed him from the outhouse to the penthouse in the span of one season. After recording just three points in 31 games last season, Genoway has become a force on the offensive end. Centering UND

He intimated as much last weekend by basically saying that the rotation is working, but one of the two is bound to get on a hot streak and if it is Jake he is going to play him.

Many great and also good UND teams have gone into the Ucch (and Williams or whatever it was called years ago) and not swept, so predicting a split is probably called being a realist. I believe the last UND sweep there was in '80, which is a long damn time! And look at the great teams UND's had since then with no sweep . . . . And although it is two big games, it does not make or break the season for either team. UND's '97 team went down there and got swept and came back and won (tie w/MN) the league championship, won the Final Five in overtime on a goal by Peter Armbrust and won the national championship. In other words, enjoy the weekend, but there is really no use getting too up or too down because there is a lot of season left. That being said, I hope UND wins both!

He is listed in phase 2.
-
You find it odd that UND is pushing one of the best all-around college hockey players in the country for the hobey? I don't!
-
In my opinion, his chances are moreso effected by the fact that he plays for UND (speaking from a historical perspective) than because of his past indiscretions.
