I agree that UND is a big player on the national college hockey scene, anyone can see that. But people like Barry Alvarez want their schools to be playing Indiana and Illinois, not Bemidji and Omaha and Mankato, etc. (no matter what the sport)...UND is not invited to their party and that is fine. Maybe UMinn and UW will schedule us once in a while as long as our nickname isn't too offensive and our power play too efficient. It will be interesting to see what the long term impacts of the Big10 are to college hockey. Miami and Notre Dame are fine institutions but I don't know that it is realistic that they would join the WCHA...Maybe we can create our own super-cool conference to align ourselves as you stated above...of course that leaves the rest of the WCHA to fend for themselves...

Sorry, but respectfully disagree. When I was at UND Thunder the Bleacher Creature was our "Mascot". Horrible yes...offensive?...well you can decide for yourself...

Other than Minny and Wisco, aren't we all little guys? If they want to leave for supposedly greener pastures, let them... We've been in this conference forever and there's no reason to bail now...the biggest challenge is gettting the WCHA leadership to start thinking bigger and for the future...that means bye-bye Brucie...

I disagree to a point. The Sioux put pressure on their goalie and made him make the saves...if UND is not pressuring Brittain constantly and getting traffic around him, there is no need for his D to come in and help out. To me the first two goals are a great example of getting pucks to the net and forcing the other team to make a play on them. The fact they went in might be lucky, but you see goals like these all the time. Shoot the puck, shoot the puck, shoot the puck!!

I don't really like the idea of playing them again (if the Sioux beat RPI)...but the Sioux could have just as easily cashed 3 or 4 more opportunities on Saturday and it would have changed the whole complexion of the game. I feel like we took DU's best shot and still managed to get the W. Leave it to the NCAA to put the top two teams from the same conference in the same bracket...(Yale/Union as well)

Strongest lineup? I'll take the one the coaching staff puts out on the ice. You have to admit that the chemistry the past month has been great, even with the loss of Kristo and Genoway...Call me crazy but I'll take Rowney at 100% over a rusty Kristo through the playoff run...and I really like Genoway in the 3rd pairing of D-men. What an advantage to be so deep at the blue line...Andrew Mac is the key to all of this in my opinion...Hopefully he is good to go this weekend...later...

I would be surprised if Green Bay had much over 50% attendance with this scenario. I guess we will see...
