  1. Great goal…ugly buckets.
  2. Honestly I was surprised he didn’t challenge Wiebe more on that one after their D had been beaten. He pretty much stayed back in the net; didn’t seem to come out even a little to cut down the angle and no poke check.
  3. Never happens on this site.
  4. They are a problem.
  5. The announcers said the Miami bench was screaming for a tripping? penalty in OT right before Wiebe scored...after all the hooking, holding and late hits I don't feel too bad for them. They were solid, a little chippy and seemed to play right on the edge but you can't expect that call in OT when that's been your bread and butter all game.
  6. Dang! My bad...their team roster has him at 6' and 175 lbs but he looked a lot bigger out there when he was hitting everyone.
  7. Is that Wisconsin rule still in place that teams under .500 can't get picked by the committee for an at large bid?
  8. Western would have stayed at #4 if UND would have lost in OT and would have moved up to #3 if the Sioux had lost in regulation. (courtesy of College Hockey News' NPI customization tool.)
  9. Sioux still hanging at #3 in the NPI behind the Michigans.
  10. I was wondering how their big defenseman McEwen? didn't get more of the Tyler Kleven treatment. Big D running around hitting everything that moves and I don't believe he got called for one penalty.
  11. 9 goes golfing
  12. Agreed...I don't care for all the clutching and grabbing but they get the absolute most out of what they have. Their goalie was very good again tonight; it took a serious shooting gallery to get it by him. I was surprised by Wiebe's goal; their goalie pretty much stayed in the net and didn't try to cut down the angle at all. Good for the Sioux I guess.
  13. Currently in #3 spot in the NPI, just ahead of Western Michigan. Miami drops to #22, just behind St Clown.
  14. Happy for the win...that was one of the most physical games I've seen this year. Miami may not have a lot of scoring power but those guys finish every check. Their defenseman, #2, was hitting everything on the ice. This was a good test for the boys; not a pretty game in any respect but they ground it out and found a way to win. I'm looking for more of a 4-1 or 5-1 type game tomorrow. Score early and often on that goalie; looking at our top guys to have a little more success putting the puck in the net.
  15. Phantom trip
  16. Good start…time to pop one.
  17. No, but I used to bring an old cap with me to games for such an occasion. Didn't want to have to throw my good SIOUX cap.
  18. This^^^^
  19. Not a fan of 3 on 3 to determine the medal winners.
  20. True, but Miami is much better this year as well.
  21. It crosses the line for a good sports broadcaster.
  22. The ultimate snake oil salesman.
  23. Yes, this is definitely not the Miami of the last 5 years or so...they seem to have grit.
