  1. You couldn't be more correct - still waiting for the site to be completed. I have been told it should be ready by tomorrow or Wednesday! A bit frustrating!
  2. Thanks for the insight, Ozzie! Keep 'em coming!! I certainly agree with your last two bullets!
  3. I have no idea why it copied like that....

  5. We need to remember: SHSU has been in the playoffs for the last seven years. They have won 21 in a row (48 of the last 50) at home. We were 3-8 last year. While I certainly hope we win, there is no way I can pick UND..... SHSU 41 UND 24

    2018 Season

I was at the games last night. I think we were the better team but UNF was the better team last night. It is obvious that the ladies are still learning to play with each other. There is a lot of young talent on the team. They will likely be pretty good by the time the conference season starts with a bright future over the next few years!
  7. I appreciate the comment, Ozzie. The site should be ready this week. Hopefully, I will be posting the details quite soon!
  8. Recent offer: PG Evan Gauger, 6'2", 160, Indianola (Indianola), IA Has offers from Truman St & Queens (NC)

    2018 Season

    Going into the 5th set - tied 2-2 with Troy! 25-20, 15-25, 25-22, 19-25
  10. Hope itโ€™s closer than this: UW 51 UND 9
  11. I donโ€™t think any DI team would be interested in having him for the second semester only - especially when he isnโ€™t there to practice with the team during the first semester. I am surprised he hasnโ€™t transferred to Augie, St. Cloud or another DII school. I think he could play right away by transferring down. It still may happen. Yep - he really screwed up!!
  12. The vote was unanimous - I agree with UND-1. His talent was offset by many other factors - on and off the court!
  13. Once again, I fully agree with your thoughts!!
  14. Very disappointing first half but I am not overly surprised. I expected a slow start with plenty of mistakes but it is still very disappointing so far!
  15. I thought Leach would consistently put the ball in the end zone!!!
  16. Agree with the recommendation - last year it was much better via wbs.com.
  17. My error - it's on Fox Sports South (608-1).
  18. I just realized it will be on Fox Sports North. Good news for us in FL!

  20. I just went back through it again and I did miss a couple UND players. I also rechecked the Bison roster and the 22 is correct. The point remains the same. There are a total of 17 ND players (13 at SU) on the two-deep rosters of the two schools. ND does produce FCS talent - we need to work hard at getting more of it!
  21. The "Lets Help Bubba 2" site will be up and running in about 10 days. They need a couple of internal approvals that are taking a little time with school just starting. We will first look to raise the $3k for the ankle braces and then move on to the $5K for the video update.
  22. It is good to see us recruiting more ND kids but we have a long ways to go. Looking at SU's two-deep opening season roster, six of their 10 offensive linemen are from ND. A summary of rosters: UND NDSU ND players on roster 11 22 ND players on two-deep 4 11* * 13 if you include special teams I fully realize that it will likely be awhile before we start winning many head-to-head recruiting battles with the Bison but the sooner the better - there are good FCS players in ND!

Some random thoughts about the MVSU game and the season in general: While I agree that MVSU has been lousy the last few years and that we should win this game quite easily, we must remember that we were 3-8 last year and are playing a lot of new players (especially QB, PK. long snapper, etc.). I expect an easy win but I also expect a lot of mistakes along the way - it may not be pretty!. If this happens, I hope too many UND fans don't get down on the team this early. Again, we were 3-8 last year and MVSU will likely be somewhat improved this year. I am a Bubba fan but his team did quit at times last year. With all the injuries at critical positions combined with the lack of depth at those positions, a so-so season wasn't overly surprising. However, I was quite disappointed in our effort at times. This surprised/disappointed me - I didn't think we would see that from a Bubba-coached team. Special teams are a concern for me. Although the reports from fall camp have been fairly positive, I hope Leach can handle the PK job well. It appears he will do a great job on kickoffs but his FG accuracy is a concern. Hopefully, I am wrong on this. A true freshman long snapper is also not ideal. We have been blessed with the last two LS we have had. They came in as true freshmen and handled the job well throughout their careers. Hopefully, Hinders will do the same. I share most everyone's concern about our offensive play calling. No need to go into depth on that as it has been discussed at length. I just hope that it improves this year. If it does not, it will likely be another frustrating year! Also, along with everyone else, the OL is a question mark. Hopefully, we can stay healthy and a couple of underclassmen will be pleasant surprises. It appears a lot of thought/effort has been put into enhancing the tailgating and gameday experience. Hopefully, it will result in increased attendance by students and fans in general - and that they stay until the end of games. While not as outspoken as UND-FB-FAN, I fully agree with him that we should be challenging for a conference title (I realize this won't happen for a couple of years) and playoff spot every year. We cannot be "OK" with mediocracy - in any UND sport! I think we are in pretty good hands now with Chaves running the show. He wants to win, not just compete! I expect a 7-4 record this year. It could be better but it certainly could be worse as well. Tonight: UND 48, MVSU 13
