Two offerees have made their decisions: DE Jake Karchinski, 6'5", 245, De Pere (West), WI (2 Star - 247) **Verbal to Iowa** LB Chamaar Smith, 6'2", 210, Indianapolis (Decatur Central), IN (2 Star - 247 & Scout) **Verbal to NIU**

Interesting background - he averaged 14+ points and 8 rebounds per game his senior year of HS and was named all-state at some level in TX. Supposedly had numerous offers including Washington State before choosing UW-Mil. His JC team finished 15-14 last year (Saddler started 21 games) but had a weird season: they won its first 8 games and were 13-2 before losing 12 games in a row. They won their last two. Although Verbal Commits lists him as a SG, it appears he normally plays the 3 and some 4. He weighs 215 now so has OK bulk. With three years of eligibility, he could be a contributor in the future.

I think most FB players are expected to be back in GF about June 1 for summer workouts. Two very important dates coming up for recruiting - Elite camps for HS kids on June 21 and July 21. The coaching staff will work hard to ensure prospects we really want will attend one of these camps. Quite a few offers are made immediately after those camps and the first commitments usually follow soon after. The coaches will also pay a lot of attention to kids attending the 7 on 7 passing camp on June 13th.

It would be great if you were correct but I would be very surprised!

While I think Horner will become a good (maybe very good) college coach, I don't think we (or most any DI school) would/should hire a coach without head coaching experience. In this case, it is hard to tell how much Horner as contributed as we have been so-so team (other than last year) during his time at UND. He certainly assisted with recruiting in IA but I am not sure how much talent we have really gotten out of IA

I sure hope this is a good pickup - I think I would have rather had the other JC guard we just offered.

I do not know but I wouldn’t be too surprised if either Buchanan or Kinsey would not return.

New offer to another JC PG who has three years of eligibility remaining. As a freshman as Yuba College (CA), he averaged 19/game for his team that went 26-5. Shot 50% from the field and 38% on 3's.

dAnother offer to a guard for next season: G Bentiu Panoam, 6'1', Anchorage. AK Played last year at NW Kansas Tech. Averaged just under 11 points but shot 47% on 3's. Has three years of eligibility remaining. Has offer from Southern

The QB may contribute in a couple of years. Hopefully, the DB will earn playing time quickly.
