  1. Probably a smart move on his part. He may or may not be leaning towards retaining Mallory but wants to know who else is interested. There may be someone out there that UND would be foolish not to pursue.
  2. UND hopes to finalize a commitment from a major donor in the next few months. Once that happens, a big time fundraising effort will begin. Thanks for your help with the jackets!
  3. Two new offers - both defensive studs from Moorhead. It would be great if they followed Feeney to UND but I expect Teiken will go to a FBS school. LB Austin Alteper, 6’3”, 220, Moorhead (Moorhead), MN Has offers from NDSU & USD DL Jack Teiken, 6’3”, 255, Moorhead (Moorhead), MN Has offers from UNI & NDSU
  4. The ladies had a nice come-from-behind win at ORU tonight.
  5. I fully agree with your first two comments. On the ladies side, there just isn’t much quickness and they are not very reactionary. The same goes for the guys bigs. The “athletes” on other teams simply react quicker and then are quicker getting to a loose ball or rebound.
  6. Big foul issues may be a problem!!
  7. Here we go again - 3 points in 8+ minutes. No offense at all!!
  8. There is much more to STs than kicking the ball: assembling the best offense and defense lines, developing a good long snapper, returners, coverages, return schemes, etc. Having a PK and punter who don’t produce are talent issues. If Kostich (someone on here probably knows) has full control of the recruitment of the kickers, then he certainly should be responsible for their performance as well.
  9. You beat me to it, I was going to check out these stats. Other than the quality of our placekicking and punting (which has not been good), special teams has been pretty good the last couple of years.
  10. Any idea why there were barely 2,000 people there last night?
  11. McGrath is averaging 10-12 ppg, a similar number of rpg along with 7-8 blocked shots per game. His team is also undefeated and has other good talent so he doesn’t “need” to score a lot. Very thin - he will need a couple of years for his body and game to mature before he will contribute for us.
  12. Welcome to ss.com. As others have said, we are all pleased that Jack is healed up and ready to play!!
  13. May I ask if you are Jack's dad?
  14. UND1983 - NewUndFan did include Rebraca in his post.
  15. Other holdovers are Urbonavicius and Panoam; however, your point is 100% correct. You are correct SWS - also Ignanugo. G was a freshman last year but a Jones recruit.
  16. Not surprised. From what I understand, this may be another case of it being better for both him and the team!
  17. Two points in 6 minutes embarrassing!!
  18. It didn't take long for Bubba and his staff to says "thanks": "Thank you very much for contributing to the "Let's Help Bubba" sideline jacket campaign. Your loyalty and commitment to UND football continues to amaze me and the entire football staff. The jackets will be a part of the program for years to come and will get put to good use. We know playing in the Missouri Valley Football Conference will present us with some cold weather games on the road late in the season. Thanks again for supporting our program to help us provide a Division I football experience to our current and future players! Happy Holidays!!" Thanks again and have a great Christmas!
  19. Thank you for another great response. I know the FB program is very appreciative of our efforts. if you had planned to donate and haven’t done so, please do. The program has other needs. I won’t be twisting your arms again until next fall! Thanks again!!
  20. We are less than $1K away from our goal - you folks are coming through once again! Thanks!!
  21. This fall, we raised $8,000 to equip four new meeting rooms with video editing equipment. Thanks to your help, it didn't take long to hit the goal. In the past when the goal was reached quickly, we have added to the goal for another need. We did not do so this time, partially due to not knowing at that time whether there would even be a season. Well, it appears MVC games will be played this winter/spring with many games played in cold weather so let's help the team again. This is the write-up that will appear on the donation site.... ********** SiouxSports.com, established in 1994, is an online community for fans, families and friends of Fighting Hawk Athletics. Siouxsports.com members are proud to have raised nearly $40,000 in recent years in support of Coach Schweigert's football program. Members hope to raise funds to address another important need this winter. As you know, the Missouri Valley Conference has moved the football season to spring. While most of UND’s early season games will be played indoors, there will be games played outside in March. UND is in need of new jackets for the team. While it appears the season will go on as scheduled, even if it doesn’t, we need the jackets for late fall games. A description of the Adidas jackets is below. Based on the purchase of 100 jackets, the $173 cost per jacket has been reduced to $115. Therefore, the goal of this campaign will be $11,500. We realize that it is Christmas time and 2020 has been a crazy year but we hope people will step up to help with this effort. Donating is fast and easy! We welcome any amount you can give...$25, $100, $500... whatever you can do will help Bubba continue building a successful football program. All donations are tax deductible and are handled by the UND Alumni Association & Foundation, so it is safe and secure. The link: https://undalumni.org/Bubba6 Thank you for your support of UND student-athletes!
