Did anyone read Miller's tweet before it became "unavailable"? Should be some good exposure for UND football. https://twitter.com/undfootball/status/1397613755224051713

With six guards on the roster, I don’t think we are looking to add another.

Players to work hard (get bigger stronger, faster) Belquist and Boltmann (and anyone else banged up) to get healthy Pick up another player or two from the portal to strengthen a couple of positions Host three great flagship summer camps. In the past, we have hosted two of these camps where we invite top prospects in for us to evaluate them and for them to meet our staff, see our facilities and tour campus. It is much easier to recruit kids after they have been to one of our camps. The camps are June 10, 17 and July 17.

AJS, UND-FB-FAN - you guys are correct!! I shouldn't have made the summation of my post sound like a downer. We should be very pleased with the spring season that just ended and excited & optimistic about the fall. Heck - I am the guy who does the Let's Help Bubba fundraising each year. For that to be successful, we need as many fans as possible to be pumped and excited about the program. Thanks for pointing this out!!

That wasn't meant to be negative - just saying that we play a bunch of good teams on the road. I just don't want our fans to jump off the bandwagon - we could be a much better team but have a poorer record. I certainly hope that isn't the case!

This is an excellent overview. I agree that we are getting closer! Just a few thoughts: We simply must continue to get bigger, faster and more athletic at all positions. Players on the current roster will improve/get bigger, etc. but this will be done primarily through recruiting. I agree that Schuster did a great job as a freshman. He certainly understands the game well and what he can and can't do. It would be great if he could get a little more zip on the ball as well as improve his long ball. I expect he will. It will be interesting how Vaughn matures - his size is intriguing. I fully expect Feeney to be in the mix very early in his career. We have had excellent PKs over the last 30+ years - until the last 2-3 years. With a good program and playing all home games indoors, we should sure be able to attract a PK at least as good as the many we had during our DII days. Similar to above, we can't afford to lose the better part of 10 yards per punt compared to the competition. Over the course of a game (and a season), those yards can be the difference between winning or losing. I would hope we could find both a new PK and P in the portal as we haven't recruited either in the latest class. Recruiting is so important. It is great that recruiting will be back to normal on June 1 and that we will be hosting camps again this summer. Getting kids on campus is vital to our recruiting success - they see the HPC, a beautiful campus (in the summer) with a ton of new buildings going up, etc. Hopefully, quite soon they will be hearing about HPC2 becoming a reality. All this will make it easier for a kid to decide to continue his athletic and academic career at UND even though many will drive by other MVC schools to get to GF. On the down side, competing against NDSU for talented kids will continue to be a major challenge AND, with SDSU's success, they will likely continue to get some of the kids we really want. Finally, I hope none of us get too optimistic about next year. We should be a better team but we open with two road games (one FBS) and have four other road games - at USD, SIU, MO St & SDSU. Despite our improvement, many of those games are going to be tough to win!

Fully agree! -
I think the staff would like to keep the last scholarship in their pocket in case an A+ talent became available. With the Tsartsidze commitment, I don’t know if we pulled the offer to Mushila. The staff was very high on him. If he would decide he wanted to play at UND, I don’t know what we would do.

That sucks that they were trying to score with a few seconds left. -
Kortney Carney, a 5'9" setter, originally from Moorhead, will transfer in from NDSCS.
