What a difference a year makes!! We had our 7th commitment by June 12th last year. With no camps or campus visits last summer, most kids made their decisions earlier than normal. We shouldn't be concerned as it appears there hasn't been a lot of FCS verbals yet.

The first of three Elite camps is tomorrow. (Good news as we have only host two in the past.) It is obvious that we have expanded our Midwest recruiting area based on our invitations for prospects to attend. We appear to be more active in KS and MO - and much more than usual in SD. It would be great to start pulling a few athletes out of SD. There are a lot FB players down there. At this point, it appears we have made at least 21 offers with more likely in the next few days.

Our second commitment for '22: SG Mikayla Aumer, 5'9", Mora (Cambridge-Isanti), MN As a junior, averaged 22ppg (No. 9 in MN), 4+ rebounds and 4+ assists.

An interesting pickup. He had no other offers but may have just recently decided to transfer out after his freshman year at the CC. Nice stats - averaged 22+ over the last 14 games of the year, shot 52% from the field, 32% from 3 and 77% from the line while averaging less than 2 fouls per game. Our coaching staff has some very good ties to coaches in that JC league so I would guess he comes with some high recommendations.

Another: LB Jack Zuckel, 6'3", 200, 4.7, Lakeville (South), MN Has offers from Yale & Air Force *** This is the first UND athletic (non-hockey) post in four days. Probably a record in recent years!!

As is often the case, different schools will recruit the same kid for different positions. Bailey is a talented DB and WR. One of the supposed recruiting experts in IL expects him to play defense in college so that is how I listed it. But, the answer to your question is: I don’t know!
