It is really early to look at this too closely as the NLI signing date is still 3+ months away (December 14). We need to make sure we hang on to the commitments until then. That said, I don't know the answer regarding their eligibility for the spring season.
6' guard who looks pretty darn good for a '23: https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrJ7F3KhD1fPzcAZMVXNyoA;_ylu=Y29sbwNiZjEEcG9zAzQEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3Ny/RV=2/RE=1597896011/RO=10/RU=https%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fwatch%3fv%3dtiNYpr1e7gA/RK=2/RS=UxqRgA0o7WZGKLAWfSI6ZH8_KIs-
While it isn’t the ideal thing to do, any coach can pull back an offer anytime before an athlete signs a LOI (during their junior seasons). Similarly, a recruit can also renege on a commitment anytime before he/she signs. Both instances occur often.
I couldn't find too much about them - nothing on Bass. Ham is a 5'10" SF who averaged 6 ppg and 8 rpg as a freshman at Wayne Memorial. Alston is a PG at Detroit Edison. They all play for the Michigan Crossover in AAU ball.
That AAU club has a 6'3" guard who will be an 8th grader this fall. I watched some film on her - very good! I assume she is 13 or 14 y/o!!
Recruiting is a very important part of a college coach’s job (permanent or interim). She is simply doing all she can to prove she deserves the position permanently. If UND has a good season but she hasn’t made inroads (developed contacts, gotten commitments, made offers to talented underclass ladies, etc.), she wouldn’t deserve the job!
We continue to expand our recruiting with an offer to a prospect from the Pittsburgh area:
SF Emma Theodorsson, 6'1", Moon Township (Moon Area), PA Has offers from Navy, Robert Morris, Lafayette & WMU
Averaged 12 as a freshman and 15 last year along with 7 rpg and 5 blocks. That is a lot of blocks for a wing player.
Two more IL offers:
LB Malachi McNeal, 6'1", 215, Gurnee ( Warren Township), IL Has offers from Kent St, SEMO, SIU, Fordham, MO St, WIU, Bowling Green & EIU
WR Cole Davis, 5'10", 160, 4.5, Marenga, IL
