Wow - I sure wish the recruits were in town today. I just checked Yahoo Weather and it indicates it is 48 up there right now - is that correct? Unfortunately, the forecast for Saturday is a high of 3 and low of -13 combined with the potential blizzard conditions. Not good in two ways. If a kid can't make it this weekend, he probably won't visit due to other scheduled trips. Secondly - you don't want prospects from warmer climates to think the GF weather is like that all the time during the winter. I know we have lost some good recruits in the past due to lousy weather during their visits.

I just hope we don't get a similar message from Travis regarding Dan Bell!
-
I refuse to go to BV - so the kid has officially verballed to WMU?
-
I see in a WSN headline that UND offeree and SU committed Nathan Tanguay (DE from WI) has "other options" I assume that means he received a PWO offer from UW or UM.
-
Wiki has been updated with some new offers to our offerees including a few PWOs.
-
Silly discussion. Bottom line - SU is damn good and would not embarrass themselves against many FBS teams and would beat a lot of them.

Lastly, I really think that Casey Young should try safety. I was impressed with him at times on special teams making tackles, and think he has the speed necessary. Why not? He may be buried on the depth chart at WR, unless he's really coming along and can leap over a few folks, but with the experience we have coming back and adding Robertson, maybe it's something he needs. Maybe even bulk up a little and play some LB? *************************** Good thought about Young changing positions. I think he is a very good athlete - I wouldn't think he would want to potentially be a 4th string receiver for another 2-3 years! I also hope Butler continues to progress. I had thought he would see the field more than he did last year (due to his talent and the lack of success by others on the field)!

It is interesting that Stendler played DE on the opposite end of the line from teammate, Luke Worthington. Worthington is 6'9", 250 and also a very good BB player. UND offered him but he has signed with BYU.

We reported the Helt offer back on the 16th but he somehow disappeared from the "offered" list in Wiki. "Posted 16 December 2012 - 06:53 PM Offer: DE Dean Helt, 6'6", 225, Waunakee (Waunakee), WI Has offers from IL St & W IL"

Congrats to the Bison - another great season!!
-
We are playing pretty well but Weber just isn't very good! 56-32 Loyd has 13.
-
Slow start by both teams: 4-4 after 5 minutes.
-
Wall has only appeared in three games. If she isn't 100% healthy, I hope they consider keeping her out all year and getting a medical hardship. I would rather have her for another full year than half of this year - especially if she is not fully able to contribute.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
UND Fan replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
Why don't you just leave this alone? We all know that we would love it if UND were playing for the title tomorrow. You are just looking foolish by making comments like this. -
That link is interesting - apparently the Grizzlies have 11 verbals and only one (a LB) weighs more than 195. WRs-4, RBs-3, CBs-2, QB-1, LB-1. No OL or DL yet. I also see they have a commitment from another prospect we had offered: Chris Parker, a DB from Sioux Falls.

That is a very good question. The following refers to the defense but probably could apply to the offense other than the WR position. Will the returning players who saw the field a lot last year improve? I would assume they will to some degree but enough to make a real difference - who knows! Obviously, some of them will be healthier which should help! A lot has been said about the quality of the last couple of recruiting classes. I certainly hope that is fact but no freshmen stood out this last year and we didn't feel anyone was worthy of pulling their redshirt of the first year players. (That said - it sure appears that Edwards may be very good). Obviously, a couple of talented JC players or transfers could help a lot. Regarding the coaching, I would have thought we could have made adjustments this past year to address some of our shortcomings and we may have been somewhat better later in the season. It is a given that the coaching staff knows that improvement is necessary, feels the "pressure" and is working to address this challenge. Hopefully, they will be able to do so. None of the above is meant to be negative - just my observation. Lots of defensive question marks!
-
At this point, I doubt they would lift his shirt. I think they really want him to have another year to develop and mature. That said, if we lose anyone else, I suppose they may need to do so.

Did Miller indicate if Traylor plans to remain at UND and regain his eligibility?
-
A great, surprising win - pretty much controlled play the full 40 minutes. Only 10 TOs and we made FTs. If that can continue, we will win a lot of ballgames!
-
Hopefully, this will give them some confidence in these types of games going forward. Brekke didn't play much - I hope he wasn't having more problems. I was going to comment on Anderson not playing much the second half but just heard he had gramp problems again tonight!

FB recruiting lists for 2013 and 2014 (11 prospects on the list so far) have been updated in Wiki (2013 & 2014 men's BB as well). Please let me know if anyone has any updates.

This kid may be quite talented - apparently visited both Notre Dame and Cal.
