It is interesting to note that Edin Kovac, a QB from Tuscon (a freshman at Northland CC) is to be visting campus on 10/13 (NAU game).

It is a given that today's bomb threat that prompted the evacuation of the NDSU campus was phoned in by a UND hockey player who was born in Canada!

How was the crowd last night? Quantity, noise level?

As Hooker is a 2012-2013 recruit, it might be best to talk about him under that thread.

Apparently we had five guards from the 2014 graduating class out on the Twin Cities in for a visit over the weekend and we made at least one offer: PG Jordan Dembley, 6'1", Mpls Holy Angels He is currently rated the #7 best recruit in MN in that class. We offered him, already has offers from Buffalo, Green Bay, Hampton, San Fran, Wyoming and NM St. SG JP Macura, 6'3", Lakeville (North) Rated #22 in his class. Has offers from NDSU, Vermont, USD, Toledo, UNC & WY PG John Veil, 5'11", Blake Rated #41 in his class. No known offers SG Delshon Strickland, 6'4", Mpls Holy Angels Rated #14 in his class. Has offers from Hampton & Lehigh SG DJ Davis, 6'3", Mpls Washburn Rated #13 in his class. No known offers. I think this is great. It is kind of interesting that we would have five guards from the same market in at the same time.

This is great news - Hooker is very highly thought of and obviously had a lot of options. See my post (in a few minutes) regarding a bunch of 2014 recruits we had in town over the weekend which resluted in at least one offer.

Hein is listed as a QB on Rivals. I assume he is being recruited for a different position, anyone know for sure?

I don't disagree but he didn't have anything that even resembled a hole all night. The offensive line couldn't push PSU back at all. That said, they did a very nice job of protecting Marcus.

I think you misunderstood - as of then (and right now), these kids are all going to Fort Collins and will play.

Sic - we sure don't like it when SU fans come on our board just to irritate us. Why are you doing the same thing over there? It will just encourage more of them to come here to "retaliate" sometime in the future!

They don't have any MN kids this year. They do have offers out to at least two MN prospects this year - Ziemer and Roller. Both also have UND offers. They and UND also offered Chris Wipson from Wayzata who has verbaled to the Gophers. The Gizzlies have an interest in Perham's Jordan Hein whose only offer so far is from UND. Looking at Montana's roster, I was surprised to see that they have 32 MT kids. Checking Montana State's roster, they have 44 MT players. NDSU has 20 ND players and we have 17. That makes 76 MT players on the two MT rosters and only 37 ND players for SU or UND. MT has about 1.5 times the population of ND but they sure must produce more DI calibre HS players!

You may be correct but I would find that highly surprising. You don't "scratch" players at a home game. Everyone (unless they are going to redshirt for sure) dresses.

This has to be a first - UND men's cross country team won duals in Fargo yesterday against two long time rivals, NDSU and SDSU. We won 18-49 over the Bison and 28-32 over the Jacks. Both teams have historically been very strong in this sport so it is good to see us knock them off!

How was the crowd?

Is the weather staying nice up there for some serious tailgating before the game?

I am quite sure that some other larger donations will surface now that we have the big one that everyone has been waiting for.
