27 YEAR DROUGHT ENDS IN NEW JERSEY!
THETRIOUXPER replied to JESUS,family, rutgers's topic in Men's Hockey
Hey Basil, you know what ? JFR has been an upstanding guy on this board. I guess if he wants to start a topic about Rutgers going to a bowl game after 27 years that's fine by me. I think it speaks volumes about UND that we can attract fans of our teams and university from other parts of the country. So it's not Sioux Hockey, cut the guy some slack, like I said he's been a respectful, interested, and inquisitive poster on here, so if you don't have anything to add or don't want to read his threads, then don't. -
NDH, you going to be in town next weekend ? Got a cold one for you if you're here to watch us dispose of the filthy vermin. Dress warm rumor has it there could be some outdoor activities before the Sat. night game.
-
Hey, TC, I'm just curious. which poster is going to have to come off your bedroom wall to make room for saint phil's picture. Is it the Winger one or the David Hasselhoff "Baywatch" one?
-
Well, once again you're 100% wrong there, skippy. The best two way player would be Oshie, but thanks again for playing.
-
You said "wanker"
-
But remember, if that happens it's because Toews was playing against a sub-par team. On the flip side if kessel gets a hat trick it's due to his speed, moves and overall great play-making ability.
-
OK,x2thez, since you don't get it here we go. Creampuff = teams like St. Clown. any team from Alaska, Mankato, these are teams that are generally not "as good" as ND, Minny, CC, Denver, Wisc. So, therefore, your superstars should play well and score some points against them. Heavy hitters = ND, Minny, ect. These are teams that year after year attract the best players and seem to excell in the league they play in. More specifically ND has some literal heavy hitters in guys like Smaby, Prpch, Oshie, ect., who will definitely be putting a body on the likes of kessel. I hope this clears things up for you.

Sorry, I posted my thoughts on the wrong thread, this was supposed to be posted under the college hockey showcase thread. Someone was saying something about kessel being red hot and Toews only scoring 8 goals or something. Just apply it to that thread and it makes a little more sense.

Well as far as Mr. Media is concerned, we'll see how he does not that the goophs are almost done with all the creampuffs for the year. Sorry there ca whatever the helk the rest of your name is but we'll see what happens when he plays against the "HEAVY HITTERS", and I mean that literally, of the league.
-
I agree 100%. Everyone argues that well, it's early in the year blah, blah, blah. I don't care, the season's started and wins are wins and points are points. The rest is just crap. You should have your best lineup on the ice regardless. That is until you have home ice, ect. all wrapped up.
-
Let me start off by saying I think we have two very capable goalies. I have never been a fan of this "platooning" of goalies. If one guy is stellar in practice and solid in gametime situations why not saddle up the horse and ride?
-
Sorry for second post, just want to clarify. Imean move Porter up and leave Oshie and Toews on second line with someone else, not have them be first line of all freshmen.
-
OK, then, how about Porter? He's fast, physical, and can score. Let's make an all frosh line with Toews, Osh, and Duncan or Watkins/Kozek, that would be rather interesting.
-
Yeah, Dog lets not forget these other single A hacks. Matt Niskanen (UMD) 1st rd 28th overall pick of the Dallas Stars, Blake Wheeler (MN), 5th overall by Phoenix, TJ 24th by the Blues, and possibly Forney. Does the NHL know something the rest of us are missing? These kids all played single A MN hockey. Maybe a better comparison would be between ND high school hockey and MN high school hockey, where are ND's big guns. I say this as being born, raised, and lived in ND all of my life.
-
While we're at it let's stop by the Forney thread and rip on his accomplishments. For God's sake TRF is only single A. How come know one is wondering why the don't move up a class, what about EGF, they also have 3-4 times the population As Warroad does. Benilde, Breck, Blake, St. Thomas Acedemy, Totino Grace, all the private Twin City Schools that are class A, and you want to rip on Warroad. Once again, do your homework before you post something so damn stupid.
-
Next time do us all a favor and give yourself a history lesson before you post something like this. Get all of the facts first, don't wait for all of us to come on here and set things straight. That's all I have to say right now, otherwise I might get chastised.

MafiaMan, if you have a chance to hook up with Yttium do it. Not only does he have extensive hockey knowledge he also has a good portfolio of jokes, guaranteed you'll be busting a gut. We tailgated last Saturday and we all had a blast.
-
It would have looked alot more like last years goopher game had someone stepped up and pistol whipped everyones favorite cheap shot artist.
-
I have said this in previous posts. These head to head comparisons are difficult, each player brings something different to the table and that's what makes a team. Prpch is one of my favorite players, and don't take this the wrong way, but we only need one player that plays his style. We have some very talented players, it's encouraging to see some of these freshmen playing so well. Lee and Chorney are outstanding. Toews is a very dynamic player, Tj's got great ambition and drive and I think the best is yet to come from all of these guys. I don't really know what to say about Stafford and Zajac, they are snake bitten right now, perhaps Spirko's return can provide the spark they need. I have to agree they are seeing some very tough lines thrown at them right now, maybe Spirko did so many intangible things as to provide them with the scoring touch they had, but I still think that line is second to none in college hockey.

UND vs. Wisconsin Games @ Joe Sensor's In Bloomington This Weekend
THETRIOUXPER replied to Yttrium's topic in Men's Hockey
Yttrium, you are right, that was a great tailgate The Source knows how to host one hell of a shaker. It was no accident the hockey Gods had us come together, there were great frienships made. Plus I won't soon forget the Baton Death March or "Baloney Bill", that guy is out of control. -
It's great to see TJ getting recognition from the fans. All the hard work he puts into his game is sure being noticed. NDH I believe you're very right about him leading by example, plus he's got some "mad" stick handling ability. By the way, NDH, it was fun meeting you and hoisting a couple on sacred ground with SIOUX99, and Yttriun (tittyium) last saturday. Good time was definitely had by all and I can't wait to get together with you guys again.
-
I have also heard that Big Joe may be the chosen one to do the "dirty laundry". However it would bring me great joy to see #19 tool this guy up with a smile on his face, but then again we wouldnt want Prp to tarnish his new squeaky clean image as a leader on the team.
-
Hey, were just having fun, don't get so worked up man.

By the way, just for the record, BLEEDGRN is not one of my other personalities.
