Much of this stems back to the Toews>kessel, and vice versa banter. That's normal rivalry stuff, and the smack back and forth is comical and at times enjoyable. The problem we have is the skippy's coming onto SS and not being able to understand why someone like myself would not give any love to phil. It's like it is causing them some kind of emotional hardship. But so the goophy faithful and bear man don't lose any more sleep over this deal, I won't mention my dislike for kessel the player on this thread any more.

Please read this very carefully. It's the umteenth time I have said this now. I'm glad he is part of the US team. Personally I am not a fan. How much more clear do I have to be to you guys ? Why do I have to be fan fan of kessel's to be a college hockey fan. Who in the hell ever established that criteria ?

Cardinal, keesel does not play for UND, so the point is kind of moot I guess. I'm glad he is on Team USA. I think they have many fine players, but as I have said I don't buy into the "as phil goes, so goes Team USA" theory. If a Sioux fan does not care for phil why does that bother you guys so much, big deal. Do you think I care what any of you guys think of Toews, or Lee, or Oshie ? No, I don't. Because I am smart enough to realize that these are things that are part of a rivalry. That's all. I don't have hatred toward phil as a person, just as a player I don't care for him. I don't know why it is so hard for you to comprehend that kessel is not and will not ever be a player that I really give a damn about. What is so wrong with that, quit trying to shove him down everyone's throat already. Again, if you don't like MY negative perspective of phil, just ignore it, it is simply my opinion. You're right jk, it was very similar. It would be nice to see Oshie to Marvin for the OT win in a national title game. But a couple things need to happen first. Like Marvin needs to come here and TJ needs to stick around for a while. I think the odds of Marvin coming here are better than TJ being here that long.

OK, folks this is simple math here. There are two sides to a battery, positive and negative. There is good and bad. Dark and light. In our world one does not exist without the other. When people come on here and start talking about what a wonderful performance kessel had against Norway, the subjact has already been brought up. No infactuation here, just presenting the other side AS I SEE IT. What I say is nowhere near gospel, it is what I think based upon seeing him play. As far as the game the other night, I know several people in attendance in Vancouver. I am glad the US won, and won big. I hope they steamroll everyone and bring home the gold. Does that mean I have to like kessel and speak highly of him ? I would say not. I love the Buffalo Sabres, but does that mean I'm a Vanek fan. No. But it doesn't mean I'm going to give up on my beloved Sabres. See the point. It's like loving your job but maybe not liking ALL of the people you work with, your job can still be satisfying. I could really care less how phil does, and I have a hard time buying into the "as phil goes, so goes Team USA" theory. I think the team is loaded with talent. But that is what is great about a message board, you can post your OPINION, and that's all it is is my opinion, don't take it to heart so much.

The bad chemistry is between kessel and skille. My whole point here is this. I'm glad to see phil got five assists, it shows his ability to distribute the puck to teammates. But, Norway is not a quality team. Your superstars should have a heyday. Now if phil continues to excel, great. I just feel that when you are in a lopsided game and your big gun is being double shifted, and put in the game with only little time left, and you are on the power play, it looks like you are trying to pad numbers. Like AZSioux said go Team USA, I hope more than anyone they bring home the gold.

Well, OK, bearman. You being in the know, then. Explain why in a lopsided game you don't roll 4 lines, instead of your "big line" out there for most of the second period. And as I said, if he puts up points like that against a quality squad like Team Canada, it won't be just grandstanding the next golden child.

Then, why in a lopsided game would kessel get so much playing time? Don't you think you would want to keep everyone as fresh as possible ? There is no other reason for playing someone so much in a one-sided game.

Glad to see kessel had all of those assists. Great win for team USA. Flip side of all of this is that Norway is not a very good team. Secondly, kessel had alot of ice time last night. The real test will come against team Canada. Unless he has five points against the Canadians, then I would say last night was nothing more than USA hockey's attempt to highlight their "golden boy". Why not? Lets face it, up to this point the "projected" #1 overall draft pick has been outplayed in the college ranks by Oshie. It's in USA Hockey's best intrest to make sure he looks good in this tourney.

Concept slappy, what concept. The only concpet being displayed here is the concept of your hypocrisy, and uninformed, crybaby, whining, woe is me attitide. When are you going to add something of value or intrest to a topic rather than "quit picking on me you're immature and wrong" type of stuff ? cause that's all you do.

The difference between you and other posters on this forum is the fact that you whine every time someone questions you. However you are constantly asking every one else to present hard evidence on certain subjects, then when they do, you try to discredit them by saying that they are attacking you. Your lack of hockey knowledge, and misinformation is alarming to me especially when you claim you are in the know. Like I said water under the bridge, but if I could archive, some of you guys were almost as hard on me as I was to the goopher idiots. My whole thing was no one was comparing Oshie to mueller, it was simply a discussion of who we all thought may be on the world junior's from our squad. Like always the gooher faithful showed up and started interjecting their crap. I don't mind most of those guys either as long as the have something worthwhile to add. In retrospect it all worked out for the best, Tj did his talking on the ice and has now silenced all the critics, and really, who would want it any other way. Yeah, JK that was me. I said, let them lace them up and see what happens. Then some goopher idiot came back and said something like "this is clearly a thread about comparing Oshie and mueller, and Oshies not in mueller's league blah blah blah" or something like that. Then Redwing chastised me for jumping all over those goopher idiots, ect. That's ok, water under the bridge. Just glad to see TJ having the success that he is. Now here's hoping he stays long enough, as well with Lee, Toews, Chorney, ect. to hang a banner in the Ralph. That would be icing on the cake.
