Ahhh . . . I always loved that one I'm cheering for the Gophs tonite to beat SCSU on FSN North. 6-5 SCSU after two - should be an interesting end to the game but, even if the Gophs lose, I don't think the game will matter much to them as they're looking towards the bigger prize this year . . .

Yah know . . . the divorce rate in this country is like 50% or something . . .

I'm with you. I lived in the Mpls for 10 years after growing up in ND. My dislike for the Gophs grew each year via the local media and having friends that are Gopher hockey fans. The Gophs, Badgers and Sioux are huge rivals - for both the players - and the fans. Look at GPL, there's a "who to cheer for now" thread with most cheering against either WI or ND, and many cheering for Hockey East. I have to honestly admit, I wouldn't be cheering for the Gophs had they won and probably won't cheer for the Badgers if the Sioux should fall. I really don't care to see either of them win - and benefit from winning. My hats off to Sagard and other posters as I truly respect your attitude.

I just laugh - think what may happen to him if he gets to the NHL trying to pull this stuff . . .

Prp's definitely been one of my favorite Sioux hockey players. Gotta love his playing style, heart and of course, the antagonizing and the Thanks for four great years - and nothing but the best for ya!

No . . . not at all . . . I discovered last weekend during the same game that whenever I needed to go to the bathroom after consuming an adult beverage, the opposing team scored. So either no beverages or no bathroom breaks - unless we're up by quite a few goals . . .

I was just wondering if anyone has any superstitions while watching the Sioux? Do you know of any current or former players' superstitions? I always see a Sioux player (Prpich?) leave his stick outside the locker room - superstitious?

Just an FYI, for us poor saps not at the Ralph this weekend, FSN North (MN feed) is now carrying all three games live this weekend, including the 8pm Saturday championship game. Unless the Gophs lose to HC , the MN Wild agreed to have their game tape-delyed and FSN will show the championship game live. If the Gophs lose on Friday, the West Regional game will be tape delayed Both Friday games are live too. Here's to a tape delayed game on Saturday - UND vs HC

Very good points. Hopefully the Sioux are concentrating on the maize and blue as Michigan is in a nice situation - nothing to lose. Plus, the Sioux are the host/home school and, I would think, have a lot of pressure to get to Milwaukee? Heck many are counting the Gophs in the underdog role now . . .

FSN Noth is now carrying both od Friday's games live . However, Saturday's championship game is tape delayed . It is live on ESN U and FSN North-Wisconsin feed . . .

Unfortunately, we just have the MN feed of FSN, along with the Fox College channels. No luck for the championship game Saturday until 10pm

I guess I wish the Gophs had won the FF - even against our squad. My fear is the "Wisconson Syndrom - Part Deux" happening again. I do like the wave of momentum for our squad, but now they are somewhat favorites and play on home ice. I may be naive, but I do think the Gophs have the talent to turn the switch on - hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm just curious on which scenerio you'd rather have our favorite college hockey team in 1) Getting embarrassed in the Final 5, getting dumped on by the national and local media, but now have the "us against the world," "prove the no grit thing wrong, " with a now"underdog" attitude and going to an arena where they've played pretty well. Or 2) Came out an unexpedidly won the Final 5, are now the somewhat the favorites to win it all, and now host the regional. Just wondering.

I was looking at the FSN North TV lisitings, and they have the Saturday 8pm championship game listed for 11pm after the MN Wild. Why is this always a bunch of BS???

Well said. The maroon and gold squad are an extremely far cry from a sham. The Sioux have to follow the the old cliche "one game at a time." Also, remember what the Gophs did to our MVP goaltender 3 out of the four games? They need to keep their focus and stay humble, which I would imagine Hak will do.
