Actually I have a DVR too and am recording both Sioux games. I used TiVo as an example for the less technology driven.

It's been a roller coaster of a year as we all know. Who would of thought (besides PCM) that they would reach the Final Four? Under most circumstances, I would take a loss at the tourney in stride and be proud of their accomplishements. That being said, losing to the rodents would suck! I live in the TC's and it would be a long summer (and on top of that have a few Gopher friends). Let's go Sioux!!! Worse case - let's go CC!

For us poor @#$%^&* not going to Columbus, is anyone planning on going there Thursday and (probably) Saturday night? I plan to hold at least one table. I know there will be Goph fans there (re: GPL) so call and get a table or show up early. They show the games in HD, too.

I feel the same. If if a Gopher win would help the Sioux at some point in the season, I'd still have a hard time routing for the Gophs. What the heck do we do if the worst happens - UM vs DU? Drive out to Minot and take over a silo?

No matter who wins next Thursday, they'll have one tough battle vs CC or DU, but that's another (Sioux) thread for 9pm next Thursday. If Greene doesn't take too many bad penalties we should prevail over the Gophs. I think the Sioux have a better chance of beating the Gophs protecting a lead than playing catch-up.

I would agree w/Sagard's post.. The Sioux are excellent at PK's but it may bite 'em in the butt eventually, although they need to set the tone early. I think if they limit the penalties somewhat they grind out a 4-2 win. Both teams have good weapons and it should be a classic. It would be sweet to see Spirko repeat his FF breakaway goal for the game-winner. Living in the TC's, nothing would make me happier than all the crying and excuses by the Goph fans on Friday . . .

The listings on the TV guide channel will change. Mine (Mpls) currently says there's poker, etc., too, but FSN will be broadcasting the hockey games. These listings are done far in advance and are subject to change . . . In Mpls, the Saturday night (7pm) West Regional game is on Chanel 45 (FSN has the TWolves). FSN is showing the game at 11pm.

Will the Fighting Sioux Network pick up the games?

One heck of a performance by our favorite hockey team. They nearly overcame horrible "reffing" and played a cheap DU team, and most importantly, kept their heads up and played gutsy and pretty clean after the cheap shot. I hope they can get as healthy as possible for next week and I hope they believe that they can make a NCAA run. I may be getting delusional, but (I think) I hope that the Gophs win tonight so we don't have to play them tomorrow in a meaningless game with a banged up and tired squad.

Dumb question - can the Sioux play a scratch player to replace an injured player? Anyone listening to the GF broadcast (when you're not being buffered)? TH & his sidekick were furious to say the least regarding the cheap shot.
