  1. The may not be the brightest in terms of hockey intelligence, but they know how to cheer and they have the best atmosphere in the WCHA, bar none. I've had a great time every time I've made the trip to Madtown.
  2. Just win. I'm sick of everything else.
  3. Game Over. DU wins 4-2. Prpich barking at DU player. Yawn.
  4. 1:05 left. Empty net. Building is half empty.
  5. Lammy pulled. Whoops. Face off now back in the UND zone. Phil back in net.
  6. Many chances. No goals. 2:38 left.
  7. T.O. UND midway through PP to keep #1 PP unit out. --AND-- PP now over. Fans leaving building.
  8. UND PP. Tripping on DU.
  9. Shots DU - 25 UND - 22 7:41 left in 3rd.
  10. PP over. A few chances.
  11. Goal for DU. TH and GL are wining about a no-call on DU that led to the goal. I'm bored with excuses. 4-2 DU.
  12. Another momentum killer. Canaday runs the goalie after gaining the momentum. PP DU.
  13. Characteristic of this team.
  14. Quiet night here. It's hard to even imagine the Sioux scoring at this point.
  15. "Guarded" and "Measured" are words that come to mind when I think of Hak's responses to interview questions. While perhaps he's not as enjoyable for us fans to listen to, there is also less bulletin board material for other teams and less of a chance Hak is going to come close to violating some obscure NCAA rule.
  16. I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over his prediction. Of course anything can happen, but it's a relatively safe bet that UND and UMD are going to meet in the first-round, where it would be a toss-up as to which team would make it to St. Paul. It's not an outlandish prediction to pick UMD over UND, particularly the week after UND struggled at home against BSU.
  17. This issue has turned into more of a referendum of people's attitudes toward drinking and driving, as much as it is a hockey issue. The varying opinions on the issue are not at all surprising, regardless of what team Greene plays for.
  18. There will still be plenty of free parking within walking distance to REA. Everytime I've gone to a game at REA, I've parked in the medical school lot and it's always been free and there's always been plenty of spots. It's a bit of haul, especially in January, but it will still be a viable option if free parking is your biggest concern. Also, I believe the shuttles from the local bars are free. I've lived in the Twin Cities for a few years now and I admit that it's kind of comforting to hear people in Grand Forks complain about parking/traffic, even though it's a hundred times better up there than it is down here. People down here just simply accept sitting in traffic half their life and paying whatever is asked for parking. The last time I went to a game at Mariucci, I think parking was $12 and it took me 20 minutes just to get out of the lot after the game.
  19. Gotta love the righteous indignation from the MAWSM. © Bill Simmons.
  20. I'm not going to complain that UND is now landing recruits it wasn't able to land before the new barn, but I will say -- as a fan -- that it sure was easier to like the overachieving Sioux teams of 1996-97 through 2000-01 that won despite being made up of primarily second-tier recruits.
  21. This maybe isn't rock bottom, but I can't remember a more underachieving Sioux team in recent years.
  22. The "Bad Bounces" excuse is getting really old. I don't buy into it anymore.
  23. Anyone have the test card up for tonight's game? I can't get the signal yet again.
