Actually Bucky, many of us are convinced he is just a Troll who is deliberately walking a fine line to stir up trouble on the chat. He very rarely makes an all positive post and does a great job of tripping our troll alarm, TheTriouxPer. Personally, I thought your alternative personality may have finally got up the courage to break away and create its own screen name.

Is that the rationale that many US citizens also use to hate Detroit, a French name. -

When they meet for the one game I am willing to bet it will be winner takes all. -

I think your team will do alright. The goaltending is the only question mark and I think it helps that two eligible players who in many ways either acted or were treated above the rest of last year's team won't be back. Based on what I know of the talent across the pond this season, I will be shocked if the Gold doesn't return to North America this year. -
If you are a decent beer league player this is your opportunity to say you suited up for a DI game against the Denver Pioneers and some future Pros. For three lucky guys it will be a night to remember.

Voted for Miller, he has all the moves and will find the finish in the second half.

It is the past participle of smite.

I believe you are correct but apparently the current NCAA headshop isn't as flexible.

And on behalf of all Sioux hockey fans, I thought Chris would have recognized or known that this is no ordinary girl. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/indepth/feature-szabados.html

Or maybe the third goaltender as others have suggested there have been three on scholarship before.

In the post-game analysis TSN's MacKenzie said he would likely not play the rest of the games this week and that his shoulder would be re-evaluated next week. -

Pretty goal by Toews in tonights intrasquad game. For those of you who get TSN you can see it on this evenings sportsline. Update, Toews reinjured his shoulder near the end of the contest. -
WTF is a "reverse-skippy"?

Thats it, I am going to have to go and tell my boss I am booking off sick for the rest of the day. I must be, given that I agree with something that was posted by a Gopher fan.

This is coming from the same individual who mocked my prediction of Duncan being a 20 goal scorer this season. Nothwithstanding, his "I'm Positive"s are a lot easier to stomach than his "What Ifs".

It will likely be a game time decision whether Drew dresses, based on whether or not Afinogenov is fit to play

For all the money that is spent on the program and facilities perhaps that is first thing to rectify. Given his passion for the program, maybe the Eagle would be interested, if and when he retires.

I totally agree with you and the simple answer is that finding goaltenders that will remain consistent and improve at a higher level is often a crapshoot. Lately, the formula for success at Denver, Wisconsin and CC has been Tier II hockey in Canada. Perhaps the coaches are in the process of pursuing that route bringing in Greico this year and perhaps the AJHL kid next year or in 08. Although it is supposed to be a Tier One Junior league, the USHL isn't producing very many of the top goalie recruits.
-
Which is why the coaches shouldn't be ripped when players don't reach or play to their potential. I swear that some of you would shoot Grandpa if his prized chickens stopped laying the eggs you enjoy with breakfast. It was a big recruiting class last season and you have to accept there will be duds in with the blue chippers.

Yeah you're right, I guess I was recalling that he was from North Alberta. Notwithstanding I could go back and pick out some other Sioux greats from the league other than Commodore.

I say cut him some slack. I recall that Smaby was still having his problems his first season and a half and fans were making these types of posts about him. I admit that I was even beginning to have my doubts then despite the deflection that went off him at the FF two years ago Smaby was pretty solid in the Sioux's playoff run that year and last year. The big ones always take longer to adjust.
