Simon Fraser a British Columbia school was an NCAA member for a couple of decades but several years ago they rejoined the CIAU

The only two Canadian teams that could perhaps compete with Alaska, MSU and UMD are Calgary and University of Alberta who both feature several former Pros. In fact Jared Aulin who played for the LA Kings is now a freshman at Calgary.
-
It is still a DQ for the next game
-
Any questions about where the "C" belongs. Wow!
-
I finally tune in and watch 3 quick goals. I'm thinking 10-0 already?. I must have missed a different game.
-
It wasn't much of a fight but I recall Notermann getting a DQ out of the series with the Gophs. That is the last one I remember

Just because Toews is going to dress for Manitoba is no reason to worry.
-
Perhaps CHN also didn't pick up on the fact that Oshie played the first half of the season with a broken thumb.
-
Duncan and Chorney are 1st Team Picks while Oshie only gets honorable mention. http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2007...07preseason.php

I guess Big Brother didn't like our little exchange of viewpoints.

As a hint, I believe that Yosemite Sam mumbled "rassum frassum rattin Frattin" but I could be mistaken.

Nor was I, at this point in his development the NHL game is too fast for him. I did however expect Mason Raymond to be capable of earning a start with the Canucks and it would appear that he may.

Maybe you grew a bit during the offseason.

Exactly! He is also an offensive D-man, but he was only a seventh round draft pick and his numbers were far less impressive at a lower level of play (Tier II Junior) http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9807...7_draft_review/ If they were desperate to give recognition to a Tier II D-man who will contribute nicely to his program out East they should have gone with an overaged player like Colgate's Wade Poplawski.
-
That would still make the rankings incorrect. If that were the case, Lapointe is coming from the stronger league, was impressive, and should be ranked the #1 D-man.
-
Yes and the FF, NCAAs, international play and draft proved us to be correct. It is unclear whether Inch is trying to capture the Pro Potential or College Impact of the incoming class. Either way, they have missed the mark once again. The WCHA coaches have predicted that Lapoint will make the WCHA Rookie Team so how do they explain that their #15 overall ranking is more accurate.
-
If you don't think ranking Brian Rufenach ahead of Lapointe isn't a complete joke then I can only assume that you defence of INCH is due to the fact that you contributed to the rankings.
-
INCH totally embarassed themselves this year other than their number one team pick. Who wouldn't take the Gophers incoming let alone UNDs over a bunch of their higher ranked selections. Lowlites of their selections: Lapointe only the number 15 D-man Completely overlooked Trupp in both the team and forward ranking. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/INCH.htm

He's DaveK's kind of player.

What happened to the Oak Tree that SSM normally grooms for the Sioux?

This is no surprise whatsoever. Link is an ineteresting article that was written just a couple of days before the hit http://www.dailylocal.com/WebApp/appmanage...st_Story_695283

They should have polled the coaches regarding admission of BSU into the WCHA while they were at it. It can't be a very happy day in Bemidji, as Wayne State has just indicated that this is their last year of men's hockey. http://www.uscho.com/

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere; David Toews is currently ranked as the #17 prospect by ISS for the 2008 draft. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=11183&hubname=

Cold would be trading the corpse to Edmonton for future considerations and a bag of pucks
