  1. However, they are pretty thin on D.
  2. I am suprised at Denver's placement despite their depleted roster. Perhaps the troll has developed a reputation of being able to make wine from water.
  3. I believe that they used to play "Crowd Chant" by Joe Satriani but maybe they have something new?
  4. Okay Slappy let's ratchet it up a little bit. Do you recall who and what he played for the Holy Cross loss or did you conveniently forget that interview too.
  5. I hope Stafford will play and that they aren't holding off the announcement of their starting lineup untill game time. Ruff was supposed to have given an injury update regarding Stafford over the weekend but thus far nothing has been released.
  6. Unless you have a positive update of some kind Stafford is injured per within the game thread http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  7. It would be a nice gesture but injured players don't normally travel with the team.
  8. Unforutately Stafford injured an arm in Fridays game and is at the moment doubtful for the remainder of training camp. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  9. Perhaps his life long dream was to be a Blarney Boy.
  10. One glaring and obvious example for poor old Slappy, who always needs that blessed link. Would you have everybody on this site believe that you haven't noticed, or do you choose to ignore, what Lucy has said to the press about the World Juniors and its coaches every time his team struggles in the Spring.
  11. Two very different characters. Gwoz launches into emotional tirades while Lucy blames all of his teams problems on others. Neither of which are desireable traits for the head coach of Div I hockey team.
  12. An educated guess implies that you do know a thing or two about Davidson. So which UND coach are you? Seriously, he was never on anyone elses radar because last year was his break out season. Did you happen to read the article that drew comparisons to the NHL's Penner. If he is here only one year it will more likely be due to some pro team executing a pre-emptive signing of an undrafted prospect.
  13. Why do you question whether or not Davidson is out next year. Do you know something you would like to share with the rest of us.
  14. Since my dad lives not too far from Maine I have had the good fortune of attending a few of Maine's home games. I think they get along well with Sioux fans because out of all the programs out east they most closely mirror the UND hockey program and its fans. I could draw many other parallels ie) BC-UMTC (right down to the stomach turning colors), BU-Wisconsin. Tough choice on the other WCHA fans. For pure passion about the game it is tough to vote against Bucky fans but if I had to pick who I'd watch a WCHA game with it would have to be Duluth.
  15. Colby Genoway was one of the cuts from the Canucks training camp so some of you may get to see him play up in Winnipeg with the Moose. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=218467&hubname=
  16. Frattin will be toiling (working hard per the link) in the WCHA this season, and the coaches expect nothing less from their players. http://www2.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/mwdictsn?va=toiling And when the puck is on Frattin's stick opposing goalies like Frazzled will be soiling (the Skippies can look that one up for themselves ).
  17. I can't wait to watch him destroy a few Goofs and hear the Skippies complain about the Sioux and their overage Canadians. With a full dozen in the lineup this coming season, it should also quiet the Skippies who think that UND has lost it's Canadian pipeline.
  18. Article regarding Lee and Sens Rookie Camp from todays Ottawa Citizen. Just like many Sioux fans, it would appear that the local media expects a certain level of performance from a number nine draft pick as well. I still hope it all works out for the kid. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/s...23-b427c680a1b1
  19. So Dave K likes the dirty players/agitators who would be just as happy to take out an opponents star player as contribute to their teams scoring. He doesn't like the players who give these same dirty players/agitators the attitude adjustment (knuckle sandwiches) they deserve. My conclusion is that Dave must be a closet Gopher fan.
  20. I wasn't going to jump into this repeat argument with Dave the Tree Hugger until he called the giant meatball Ulf a great physical player. Sorry but anyone who goes out of his way on numerous occaisions to execute a knee on knee deserves to eat his steak through a straw. Whether you like it or not the game of hockey is one of regulated violence. If you can't accept that fact along with the unwritten rules of fair play and settling scores I think you should take up watching curling instead. Oh wait, forget that idea, the rocks hit each other.
  21. It is on the Edmonton Oilers site forum as well so I am sure it will either be confirmed or denied by the players. http://forums.edmontonoilers.com/index.php?showtopic=34620
  22. Proof that UMTC must have one riveting and exciting football team to watch.
  23. What broadcast are you listening to?
  24. Actually he has three older brothers so I will assume you forgot about Andy. Josh played for RPI and Jeff for St-Olaf.
