  1. Exactly! He is also an offensive D-man, but he was only a seventh round draft pick and his numbers were far less impressive at a lower level of play (Tier II Junior) http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9807...7_draft_review/ If they were desperate to give recognition to a Tier II D-man who will contribute nicely to his program out East they should have gone with an overaged player like Colgate's Wade Poplawski.
  2. That would still make the rankings incorrect. If that were the case, Lapointe is coming from the stronger league, was impressive, and should be ranked the #1 D-man.
  3. Yes and the FF, NCAAs, international play and draft proved us to be correct. It is unclear whether Inch is trying to capture the Pro Potential or College Impact of the incoming class. Either way, they have missed the mark once again. The WCHA coaches have predicted that Lapoint will make the WCHA Rookie Team so how do they explain that their #15 overall ranking is more accurate.
  4. If you don't think ranking Brian Rufenach ahead of Lapointe isn't a complete joke then I can only assume that you defence of INCH is due to the fact that you contributed to the rankings.
  5. INCH totally embarassed themselves this year other than their number one team pick. Who wouldn't take the Gophers incoming let alone UNDs over a bunch of their higher ranked selections. Lowlites of their selections: Lapointe only the number 15 D-man Completely overlooked Trupp in both the team and forward ranking. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/INCH.htm
  6. He's DaveK's kind of player.
  7. What happened to the Oak Tree that SSM normally grooms for the Sioux?
  8. This is no surprise whatsoever. Link is an ineteresting article that was written just a couple of days before the hit http://www.dailylocal.com/WebApp/appmanage...st_Story_695283
  9. They should have polled the coaches regarding admission of BSU into the WCHA while they were at it. It can't be a very happy day in Bemidji, as Wayne State has just indicated that this is their last year of men's hockey. http://www.uscho.com/
  10. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere; David Toews is currently ranked as the #17 prospect by ISS for the 2008 draft. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=11183&hubname=
  11. Cold would be trading the corpse to Edmonton for future considerations and a bag of pucks
  12. However, they are pretty thin on D.
  13. I am suprised at Denver's placement despite their depleted roster. Perhaps the troll has developed a reputation of being able to make wine from water.
  14. I believe that they used to play "Crowd Chant" by Joe Satriani but maybe they have something new?
  15. Okay Slappy let's ratchet it up a little bit. Do you recall who and what he played for the Holy Cross loss or did you conveniently forget that interview too.
  16. I hope Stafford will play and that they aren't holding off the announcement of their starting lineup untill game time. Ruff was supposed to have given an injury update regarding Stafford over the weekend but thus far nothing has been released.
  17. Unless you have a positive update of some kind Stafford is injured per within the game thread http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  18. It would be a nice gesture but injured players don't normally travel with the team.
  19. Unforutately Stafford injured an arm in Fridays game and is at the moment doubtful for the remainder of training camp. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  20. Perhaps his life long dream was to be a Blarney Boy.
  21. One glaring and obvious example for poor old Slappy, who always needs that blessed link. Would you have everybody on this site believe that you haven't noticed, or do you choose to ignore, what Lucy has said to the press about the World Juniors and its coaches every time his team struggles in the Spring.
  22. Two very different characters. Gwoz launches into emotional tirades while Lucy blames all of his teams problems on others. Neither of which are desireable traits for the head coach of Div I hockey team.
  23. An educated guess implies that you do know a thing or two about Davidson. So which UND coach are you? Seriously, he was never on anyone elses radar because last year was his break out season. Did you happen to read the article that drew comparisons to the NHL's Penner. If he is here only one year it will more likely be due to some pro team executing a pre-emptive signing of an undrafted prospect.
  24. Why do you question whether or not Davidson is out next year. Do you know something you would like to share with the rest of us.
