And how many pucks did the Sioux put behind Jim Howard this season. A meaningless stat when all is said and done as they all play for teams that any of the top WCHA teams should be able to bury. I know you Goofer fans are trying to look for reasons to feel good about only scoring 3 goals and barely scraping by but you won't get that warm and fuzzy from this board.

Now that I am done laughing, you could have slapped pads on your grandmother and she would have beat Maine and Cornell too. Both would have finished 11th and 12th this season if they were in the WCHA.

It is probably wishful thinking on the part of some Goofer fans but if they want to use a D-Man wearing a cast and a forward who is mentally unstable in the FF go right ahead

That sounds about right. The Goofs got to play and barely beat two teams without any offensive talent in their own barn. Now think about what the Sioux did this weekend. Factor in that it will be in a normal size arena. Go Sioux

Cornell has no talent beyond their goaltender and the Goofs can't finish. I like the Sioux's chances in the next game on a normal hockey rink.

Unfortunately, at this point in time he does not appear to be a reincarnation of the Eagle as his GAA was 5.79. However, he was on a very weak team and he is young so anything is still possible.

Cornell's team is geared towards the small ice surface too and they have a great goaltender so my preference is bring on da Gophers.

It is a perfect fit for the Sioux, a regulation NHL Hockey rink. Couldn't be a better scenario.

Good News, the Cornell game is over and my channel has switched to the Sioux Game.

Because they are a fast but tiny team that was designed to do well on their larger pond here in Colorado Springs. They can't compete with a large physical team like Michigan on a regular ice surface. That is why I maintained from the beginning that they got shafted by the NCAA selection process that seems to send them to Michigan's home turf every time. Unfortunately I had also picked Maine to advance and I thought they would be good for at least one goal against the Gophers. I got a good chuckle out of all the number one signs being flashed by the Gopher fans. Their anemic offence and sloppy play won't buy them to many more victories. They will have just as difficult time scoring against Cornell and perhaps the outcome will be different tomorrow.

I believe it was Bill Clement who observed that the Sioux won 4-0 without Spirko and Zajac scoring, and he commented that should bode well for the Sioux as they would likely contribute today.
