As if getting shut down by the Sioux wasn't bad enough, according to the USCHO site Chris Bourque is leaving the Terriers to play in the Quebec Major Junior League. Although the Bourques may be talented hockey players they apparently aren't rocket scientists.

Poor little Tallywhacker. If only the WCHA D-men were as tiny as all those Eastern Ds he might have actually amounted to something.

Personally, I have no axe to grind with Lucia and perhaps this simply is a matter of Hirsch being too sensitive a human being to play at the DI Level. Perhaps some of the CC prospects were too sensitive and the expectations of the CC fans were too high for the players in quesion. However, the article within the link that follows does raise the spector that heavy pressure may have been applied by the coaching staff and/or we may wind up refering to Hirsch as the star that fizzled. http://www.startribune.com/stories/503/5323756.html

So Five-Hole, haven't been to a Gophers-CC game at the World arena lately, have you? Ask anyone who has and they will tell you that a special chorus of Boos and expletives is saved for Lucy when he makes the long walk from the vistors corner gate to the players bench. And yes Sagard you are correct that one of the players whose name comes up on a regular basis is Cugnut. It was nice to get a rebuttal from someone who is well voiced on the WCHA.

A buddy of mine who is a BCHL ref on Vancouver Island keeps tabs on the league players who move on to the NCAA and he told me the Sioux should get great results out of all three recruits. He has also praised the abilities of the Dogz recruit Garrison who I see took a top D-man award.

Ah but I didn't claim to get my info from a source who knows Gopher players. Devoted and knowledgeable hockey fans are far and few between this far west hence I really have befriended members of the Tiger's staff. It also doesn't hurt when the World Arena Manager's brother plays in your band. I am sure going to miss the great seats when I have to move this summer If only one person had commented on the mind games that Lucy played with the CC goaltenders I wouldn't have mentioned it, but there is a consensus. He is a hated man in Colorado Springs.

I am not a big Killians fan but when the Sioux clinch number 8 I may have to do a little sailing with the Captain.

I remember that a bunch of the Goofy fans were giving us a hard time over how the Matt Greene incident was handled and we all pointed out that unlike their team the Sioux didn't try to hide or cover things up. Of course they all denied that this was the case to which I say the Proof is in the Pudding. We will likely never know the whole story behind the Hirsch incident so instead there will always be the speculation. So rodent fans, if the rumours and signs you see are considered unwelcome or seem cruel, too bad because it is your own program's fault.

Any one out there who still wants to question why Matt Greene was selected to be the Captain. Once again PCM, great recap of an inspiring show.

Respect is what Vanilla has for McMahon and it was earned. If you want respect on the Sioux Chat you are also going to have to earn it like some of the other Gopher fans who post here. I should have known that some of the Skippys would be coming out of the woodwork this week. They are feeling insecure about their team (rightfully so) and for some strange reason seem to think that they can right their insecurities by make unfounded boasts on the Sioux Chat. The Gopher regulars on this chat are welcome because they know what they are talking about. As for the rest of you, you truly are pathetic. If you are loosing sleep because the Sioux are currently the better team and have the stronger class of incoming recruits that is your problem not ours. Even when our team is doing poorly, most of us wouldn't waste our time posting on your love-in site so do us all a favor and buzz off

I come here to read about Sioux hockey, not some team who only managed 3 goals in regulation during their last four games.
