The final game of the Canadian Selection Camp went to a shoot-out with Toew's White Team prevailing once again, score 3-2. Although Toews didn't factor into the two regulation goals he was one of the five shooters for his team and of course he buried it.

With the Gomez 5M contract, NJ is going to have to dump several of their established players so both Hale and Zajac could join Zach Parise as regulars in the Devils lineup.

Combined Havlat and Khabibulin eat up $13M and there have been some buyouts that count and there are several big names to still sign sucha s Ruutu and Daze. Even the terrible get paid.

And going into the season with a sieve in nets and without any out of state boys to do all your scoring and lead your team could make for a long UMTC season too.

Christian did great, he was named the top Goalie at a big Midget tournament up in Toronto last seaon.

By signing with the Black Hawks he would also jeopardize any chance he has at wearing that "C" He will be back, he'll lead Canada to another Gold, the Sioux will hang #8 and then he will bolt.

His regular season stats playing Midget AAA in Plymouth Michigain were less than stellar last season. Still he got invited to the USA selection camp and that is where he performed well. Wow, I wonder if Coach Troll even saw that one coming. I would say this could be the single biggest loss suffered by any WCHA team as the Pies were going to rely heavily on him for both leadership and scoring.

They were pictures from a recent BBQ In GF that included Oshie, Prpich and a third player (I can't remember who). PCM was there so maybe he has pictures he can share.

Unfortunately attendance of the camp has no impact on what Toews will do this coming season. Some of the players attending the camp will be playing pro hockey this coming fall and depending on the requirments of their Pro teams, could be denied the opportunity to participate in the WJC. I actually prefer the approach that Columbus has taken because in the past many NHL teams have pulled out some of the better Cdn juniors several weeks before the tournament.

That is correct, Columbus wants Brule to be a full time member of their roster.

I am beginning to think that Slappy and Bucky are one and the same person only with dual personalities given that one seems to answer the others question. You have the one personality Slappy who claims that he can ignore everything that a knowledgable Sioux fan posts and then you have clueless Bucky who has to quickly respond to anything that points out the flaws of his beloved Gophers. If you want to say that the 03 Sioux team had as talented and experienced a lineup as the 05/06 Gophers then I guess we should all say thanks Bucky. But we didn't have a number one seed, the expections and, oh yeah , didn't lose to a 16th seed team laden with zero NHL draft picks.

Slappy now that it is solely the Don's team, if he is as a great a coach as you and Bucky preach how could his talent laden team deflate so badly at the most important time of the year.

I knew I could count on good old Bucky to do the most frothing. Your posts suggest that when you read the threads you obviously only soak in or respond to what hits a nerve.
