  1. Haha, something we can agree on!!
  2. Fair enough. Nice getting an actual response from someone that would be willing to pay some decent money to go to this game.
  3. I can't answer for anyone other than myself, but I'd prefer cash. If I don't receive any serious inquiries from now until kickoff, what kind of livestock would we be talking about?
  4. Yes, there are SRO areas in each corner. View can be obstruced at times with the column supports. So, my ticket would get you in the door and then you could stand whereever you'd feel more comfortable. And I only have one ticket available, pretty sure no one else in my group will be giving theirs up.
  5. I'm still awaiting a reply to my question. I'll have an extra ticket to this game, what would you be willing to pay for it? Ticket is located in the North EZ, halfway up, right between the goalposts. Start throwing some numbers out there, I'm really curious what a UND fan would pay to see this game. Maybe I should ask this in the ticket exchange?
  6. Ah, that's understandable. Then you're right, you probably won't find a decent seat for under $200.
  7. Not sure what this has to do with his reply, but he's right, it will probably be higher than $75. However, I would assume the tickets UND receives from their allotment could be less expensive, but I have no idea for sure.
  8. What's a "decent" ticket in your eyes? To me, if I'm in the situation of not having a ticket yet, I think a ticket getting me in the door is a decent ticket.
  9. Serious question. If I had an extra ticket to the Bison/UND game, what would you be willing to pay for it?
  10. Agreed. However, it sure is nice to not have to drive/fly somewhere to watch said playoff game. Much easier on the work schedule and finances to drive a few blocks to the FargoDome.
  11. Looks pretty good!! I think the location is perfect too. Isn't that where the old Ralph used to be?
  12. I think you might have me confused with someone else. I don't believe I have a history of ever being a troll around here, but I don't think it's going to make any difference to you. Maybe I'm understanding the Weber situation wrong here. Explain to me what UND has to do with the Bison vs Weber game. I must have missed something. I also could have added a few more things to the recruit list of reasons, like majors at the school, proximity to home, or maybe even a parent or brother played there. I just used the couple I did because it pertained directly to football. So, go back and read my post again, and this time try, try real hard, to understand that I'm not trolling but just an avid fan. If you're still angry after that, and you still think I should go find something else to do, then just put me on ignore and I'll quit replying to you.
  13. Ha, whoops, that was not intentional. Seriously. I'll go back in and edit it. And I'm not looking for or needing any love at all actually, just like trying to be a voice of reason amongst the mess surrounding our fan bases.
  14. Not wanting to get into a pissing match with you guys, however I kind of want to throw my $.02 in on a few things I've read in this thread. Didn't read the whole thread, because frankly I get tired of seeing trolls get so many replies from people when they could simply be ignored. Some of the stuff that fans of each fan base throw out there is completely ridiculous sometimes and I think people just say those things for the sake of pissing each other off. I'm gonna be the first to say that apparently Weber St isn't as good of a team as maybe a lot of us Bison fans thought they were. But on that Saturday, they played some inspired football and gave us more of a challenge than we thought they would. Does anyone here understand the concept of matchups in sports? How one team matches up with a team and can be totally different than how they match up against another. I think that game was a good example of that. I also don't believe in the common opponent comparison for this reason. At the end of the day, for me, it really only matters how many wins and losses a team ends up with. I think it was in this thread that I noticed the FBS/Big10 schedule come up and how NDSU would fare against that level of competition. I'm not going to be the NDSU fan that says we'd roll everyone, bring on 'bama, etc etc. First, it's not going to happen anytime soon, so to speculate how we'd do is a waste of time. Do I think we'd be competitive with several FBS schools if we had the same amount of scholorships, had an equal amount of home and away games, and had the advantage at that point to out recruit any FCS schools in the area (and maybe a few FBS schools too?)? Absolutely. I grow tired of people minimizing our FBS wins (all road wins) and follow it up with this argument about how we couldn't handle the full Big12/10 etc conference. I'm bringing up this last subject again because any fan of UND that is competant should be able to realize that NDSU has owned the states of ND, Minnesota, and SD in recruiting the last several years. Does that mean we've gotten everyone we wanted? No. Does it mean we've lost a battle or two to some other MVFC or BigSky schools? Sure. If a kid is offered a partial versus a full and there are other things to consider like playing time, doesn't it make sense to pick a certain school over the other? Yes. Just wanted to throw in my opinion, and it was not intended to be trollish at all, sorry if a few of you perceive it that way. I'm all for some friendly banter and good football discussion so if there's something I said that rubs you the wrong way, fine, let me know and we can talk about it like adults. And please don't throw the usual "Why are you even here? This is a UND site." because I've been here for awhile and have supported your hockey program a lot. And we have renewed the rivalry game sort of so there's that.
  15. I just logged in to say that that is the most pathetic message board I've ever looked at, and I've seen a few. New threads started in 2012 on the first page? And they're trying to get those on page 2 by starting threads about kitchen designs. Definitely noticing some changes going on up there with your football program. Curious to see if that can translate into a road win this weekend. Any of you making the trip out there?
  16. Props on keeping the game close this last Saturday. I predicted a loss but thought the score was going to be more lopsided. It appears things are heading in the right direction for you guys.
  17. I'm sure my opinion on your game this weekend doesn't mean much at all, but having seen this Montana team last week up close, it's going to be tough game for you. I must admit, you're team seems to be heading in the right direction defensively. I honestly don't know enough about your offense or the lack thereof to make any observations, but you will need to be able to run the ball against this team. They tackle very well and play very physical. They made a few 3rd and short stops against the Bison and forced us to kick FG's and even stopped us on a 4th down. And they were playing very hard late in the 4th even though their D had been on the field for nearly 40 minutes. They have plenty of athleticism on offense and Jordan Johnson is pretty elusive in the pocket. If you're suspect in stopping big plays, there may be several long pass plays on Saturday. Anyway, I think 37-10 Montana.
  18. Ah, good point, I forgot about his other offers.
  19. Not troliing at all, just an observation and question. But do any of you think that maybe everyone was soooo ecstatic about getting Molberg because....how do you guys say it "Moo U" offered him as well and he chose UND? As far as any comments about your game yesterday, I didn't watch any of it, just read quite a bit of this thread. Missouri State is a tough place and team to play, they seem to give the Bison fits both in Springfield and in Fargo.
  20. My point was, make the playoffs and if we're there as well, maybe we'll meet. I wasn't saying at all that because you guys haven't sniffed the post season in a while, that we're not scheduling you. And I'm happy for those of you that are okay with the game not happening again, because what we want and what gets done are two entirely different things. Once both sides of fans realize that, we can all quit bitching about who said and did what. I'm good on our OOC schedule since you asked. My dad and I are planning a week long road trip/vacation to Ames, IA and ending up out west in Ogden, UT the following Saturday. And as far as Incarnate Word, getting a chance to see another home game and tailgating oppurtunity is great. And they're a D1 counter too so that helps.
  21. Not sure if I'm missing something, but what's with the large time gap between emails? April of '11 they apparently "agreed" on some dates to play. Then in January of '13, a contract is mailed to Taylor for the previously discussed dates? That's almost 2 years. What took place during that 2 years that maybe caused Taylor to change his mind? As a Bison fan, I'd love to see this game played. But life goes on down here in Fargo, and frankly it's been pretty good lately. So, if it never happens again, then whatever. Y'all need to get better and make the playoffs, then a possible matchup could happen.
  22. Thanks for the explanation. I'm familiar with how it works having seen it a plenty at the NHL level. I was apparently in the dark about the fact it was done this way in the college game now too. I like the change!!
  23. So college icing is the same as the new NHL rule as well? Didn't know that if that's the case. I assumed college stayed the same with no touch icing regardless of whomever is closer. Announcer did say something about a player being on the other side of the blue line...so I'm assuming he was referring to the Union player.
  24. Us North Dakotans are always happy to accept anyone that wants to jump the river and cheer for a ND team.
