  1. Tough weekend down in Brookings for Americas team. OUCH. The Jacks men barely had 5 guys left on the team. I guess all the Bison football fans can get back off the hoops bandwagon now and start acting like you couldn't care less about the baskeball team, again. As far as Amys team, .
  2. What happened to being a fan of both programs and happy for both and we should all get along? Pretty one sided now. Tricky.
  3. What the hell is going on here with the influx of imposters? The last two posts by Informant have talked about NDSU for about 95% of them. We had that other guy, Bombdiggidi or something and now this guy says he is neutral and has followed both teams but slowly his posts have gravitated to the South. Please make it stop. Leave us alone.
  4. Quit posting like your a UND fan, every post you have had has talked about how great NDSU is and defends them in all. That is so lame. The weakest thing you can do on a board.
  5. Kohl Center only seats 14,00 for hockey. Go back to Bisonville, please.
  6. I agree. Excellent win over a team that has gone 68-3 under Bo Ryan at home, I believe. Very Very tough place to play. No jealousy on this end, I am very impressed as should all Sioux fans. Someday down the road maybe we will be in that situation.

    Recruits

My recruiting area is Florida, thats why I am talking about ND kids. We will see how it plays out. Just going by what I have heard. I may be wrong completely and these guys are gonna be great players.

Since they have 60 scholarships or so, they can outbid UND with local kids, that is there goal, to get as many of the biggest names to go there. With that being said, Anderson and Gratzek are top recruits no matter D1-AA or D2, but those other guys they got are pure window dressing for them. UND didn't even go hard after one of them and NDSU scholarshiped him and gave him a forum article about it like they signed some blue chipper. They know these "other guys" are never gonna play but they do it so people think they are staying in touch with ND, which I respect that but at least make some of the players justifiable. It will be interesting to see the list of the other recruits for this year and where they come from. That will tell a little about how important these local guys are.
  9. Still think we should keep giving Rich latitude cause of all his "past" accomplishments? This is embarassing. There is absolutely no "buzz" in GF about this program anymore...very few people really care. That is obviously my opinion but an opinion formulated from being at the home games and seeing very little fire in any of the fans. They need something to get this program alive again.

That would be awesome if UND could get Matt Anderson. He is a real talent and a class kid from all things I have heard. Would be fun to watch him here at UND playing for the Sioux!

    2006 schedule

So UND would get 9 for losing to the Bison? That definitely does help. I mean in case they happen to lose, which hasn't happened very often lately. J/K.

    2006 schedule

As far as the SOS index goes for playoffs, which is based on a 1-14 point scale with 14 being the most you can get, here is what UND would get for playing the Bison: If they beat the Bison, they would get 4 points If they lost to the Bison, they would get 1 point (the lowest possible) Duluth got 9 points for losing to Northern Iowa (automatic qualifying conference). UND got 14 points (most possible) for beating Winona State. HUGE WIN. UND got 13 points for the win over West Chester. Hard to believe that Lennon doesn't want to play NDSU. Any questions?

It doesn't matter what his top end, bottom end, etc. speed is. He is fast. He is a heck of a player and would be a great addition to any team. Lets just hope and pray that it is UND!
  14. If the Big Sky is interested in being as good as they can be for the next 5 years...then SDSU would be a great choice cause they would be eligible sooner. If they want to be as good as they can be for the next 20 years or for the long term, UND is the better selection. Depends on there thinking. Anyone who thinks SDSU would be a better choice than UND for anything other than an equestrian conference is kidding themselves.
  15. Do you think NDSU will get in the Big Sky without UND?
  16. Congratulations on the big win! Very exciting game yesterday. Looks like South Florida and Cincinnati should be home wins for you and get you in a Bowl game!! Good Luck!
  17. I thought 'Sioux" was a name given to you by the French and means 'snake' or something like that. I heard the Native Americans were disgusted by that name cause it was a nickname given to them. Now you call yourself 'Sioux' proudly in your posts. Which one is it? Sioux or Lakota? Honestly, I don't know whether Sioux is used by Native Americans proudly or not? Fill me in.
  18. Good luck this weekend! That would be a nice win to get especially after beating Pitt also a couple weeks ago!
  19. "Taylor envisions NDSU playing a Sun Belt Conference-type of team for about $150,000 to $175,000 and a Bowl Championship Series I-A team for significantly more. It depends on the quality of the Bison football team, too.
  20. Article Here is the forum article about the Big Sky meetings. What does this mean for UND? It seems like we are prepping for a move to D1-AA but I don't know what this tells our brass about the situation. Here is another article from Joe Bison at WDAY and his take. Blog

    NDSU Snakes

Nobody cares what Maughn said, etc. The point is that it is ironic that a story resembling what happened comes out two days after what Amy did. I have never seen another story about this topic ever in the Forum or the Herald so it just seems weird that one would come out when another one is expected. Grease the skids as another poster stated.
  22. I am sure Roebuck already has since he was informed of this Monday morning, the next morning. Why do you guys not believe this? Is it that unfathomable to think that Amy would do this?

    NDSU Snakes

Incase you didn't read the first 20 replies: Her calling a player (notice I didn't say recruit because she had never had contact with her before Sunday night) after the player had verbally committed to a school 3 days earlier, which happens to be their in-state rival, and offering her a scholarship. That is what shows the true character of Amy Ruley. Maybe this is what is to be expected now that they think they are D1. This goes on at some major D1 universities, but most of the universities that do that type of stuff are also the ones that don't graduate players and are renegade programs. I don't think she wants to start going down that path, this is still North Dakota and stuff like that isn't looked upon very highly around here.
