How would you like to be BC right now and have a number one seed and have to play the Sioux whereas the other number ones bet BSU, Colgate and Sacred Heart. BC gets screwed because Minny can't play a WCHA school in the first round.

I believe UND played UMD in a Sat. Sun afternoon series last year or the year before.

BU is also in the mix.

We just want replay do to the fact that in a series versus Denver when the Sioux hit five or six pipes and had one or two goals that were dissallowed that may have been in. It would have been nice if the ref could have taken a look at the replay.

I'm not sure but I believe the first tie breaker would be conference wins.

The main reason the Moorehead players don't have as many points as the Warroad players is simply because Moorehead plays one of the hardest schedules in the state. They play all the big dogs in class AA and sometimes even twice in the case of White Bear Lake. Warroad is class A and probably plays very few AA powerhouses except they did play Moorehead and tie them this year.

I totally agree with our defensemen being the problem. As much as we all have complained about Greene taking penalties Jones takes almost as many. It seems every game he gets a cross-check or two. Anyways I think that the most dissappointing player this year has been Jones. For a guy who was supposed to be the heart and soul of the defense he has really played poorly all season.

Someone mentioned bringing Dowzak in to protect Duncan. I was just wondering if any of you believe that Blais jumped on Greene for the same reason only to protect Parise.

I am going with a Denver sweep since I have been wrong on every prediction this year other than UMD not winning the WCHA at the beginning of the year. Hope this helps the Sioux since I will finally be back at the Ralph this weekend. This graduating stuff sure hurts my hockey attendence.

I agree with those lines. I was thinking the same thing. Also with all the guys hurt everyone will suit meaning Bina will probably take some shifts playing both ways unless Hak just plays him at D. Lammy plays both nights.

Yes Hibbing has a very good goalie and he made about 4 or 5 saves in the first period that kept Hibbing in the game. I am not saying that Vandevelde is a bad player I am just saying that I think a year in the USHL will be very good for him. Anyways I agree that Moorehead tries to get too cute some times with too many passes but they move the puck as a team better than any high school team I have ever seen in my life in I grew up and played Minnesota high school hockey with the best of them. My main point I wanted to get across though was the fact that Lee is twice the player that Ammerman is even though I don't think Ammerman is a bad player I just think in my opinion that Lee is that much better. Coming from a guy who only watched one game. By the way Shea Walters is a really good player on a really bad team. He should have played this year in the USHL and then he might have signed somewhere but now he will have to wait until next year.

I just finished watching Moorhead play a lousy Hibbing team and beat them 3-2. Hibbing should have tied the game a few times in the last two minutes but couldn't. Anyway I thought that Moorhead was quite a bit out of sink tonight even know they outshot Hibbing 52-20. Vandevelde had 2 goals and looked OK but I thought Lee looked very good. It was the first time I saw him against high school competition and it was like man against boys. Anyone who thinks Ammerman is the better player is way off. Lee controls the game and no one can beat him one on one. It seems that when he wants the pucks he takes it. Anyway I wasn't overly impressed with Vandevelde but I thought Lee was phenomenal in a game in which his team didn't play very well. I believe Vandevelde definitely needs a year or two in the USHL to be ready for the Sioux.

my only comment about the game is the day i see a team the sioux play get two penalties at the same time is the day i die. it seems we are the only team that a ref is willing to call two penalties at once on.

The game could possibly be played at the Al next weekend. The committee decides that tomorrow. They said that in the semi finals seeds don't mean anything so we could be playing at home next weekend.

And sit Smaby in the stands. It worked last year. Once Blais sat him he turned his season around and was pretty good at the end of the year.

I seem to remember last years team had a loss to BC, one to Minnesota, One to CC and were also swept by Wisconsin in Madison but not all in such a little time frame. I just think that after the last two seasons with the fast starts we might be the team that actually is playing its best hockey at the end of the season rather than the beginning.

Alright I am a long time reader of this board and now I am a first time poster because I just had to throw in my two cents. I think our main problem starts with our leaders. I think Schneider and Rory have been good but the two guys that should solidify our team are Jones and Greene and it seems to me they are on the ice for a lot of goals or otherwise in the penalty box. Also I think the only forwards that are giving any effort are Porter, Rory and Spirko and maybe Genoway but the rest just seem lost. Lastly, I think Smaby needs to take next weekend off because he passed and shot the puck to the Red team more than the green this weekend.
