Small place, really not a bad seat in there. Sioux fans will fill sections 100,200, 300 and 101, 201 and 301. Try to get seats there, and it is like you are at a home game. I had to call Ticketmaster and talk to them to select specific seats (as opposed to best available online) Well worth it, in my opinion. Ask what is available in those sections.
Thanks for the help. I will look for tickets in those sections.

Anybody know much about the Mankato arena? I am looking at tickets right now and plan on ordering either tonight or tomorrow. The best available are 100 level tickets but those seem to be too low for my liking. I would rather be up in the 300 level than too far down. Any recommendations?

Looks like we have a new recruit. According to Heisenberg, Pelnik from the Carolina U16 committed. No clue who he is or even what league he plays in.
Looks like he is a 6-3 defenseman. A 95 birth year so he is 15 years old. Plays Tier I midget according to Heisenberg's site.

Back on the recruiting topic, does anyone have any info on who we may be looking at for possible D-man for next year? The way I see it we are going to need at least one if not two scholarship D-man (Not counting Nick Mattson) for next year and that is without losing any to early departures.

Per Heisenberg
Welcome aboard JT Miller and Stephan Matteau!!
Wow great work to get those guys. We have some serious forwards lined up for the future. I wouldn't want to be making the decision on who's coming when but the options certainly seem promising.
Now it's time for some D.

I'll take Gregoire tonight.
Go Sioux!

I've been to Frozen Fours and many Final Fives including the last one in which the Sioux won but the West Regional weekend in Grand Forks will be tough to top for me. I'm hoping this April in St. Paul will do the trick though.

Anyone have any new info on J.T. Miller? This was posted over on USCHO in a Michigan St. recruiting forum. Based on this info, he is leaning towards the Boston schools. Not sure where this person got the info though.
Mid-to-long shot:
F J.T. Miller - 6'0 190, ? East Palestine, OH
Pittsburgh Hornets (AAA)
USNTDP U18
Plymouth (OHL 5th round)
In the running: Michigan State, Boston College, Boston University, Denver, North Dakota, Northeastern, Wisconsin
Favors Boston Schools, has offers from BU and Michigan State

yes, i guess i should leave it at cammarata as a elite prospect but stepan seems to be very solid as well
I think Nathan MacKinnon is considered an elite prospect in the same boat as Cammarata and a 95 birth year as well. I think those are the two Shattuck guys we may be persuing as I think Stepan is Badger bound although that doesn't mean we aren't persuing as well.

Anybody have any info on JT Miller? I know someone started a thread a while back stating a verbal would be coming from him. I believe Grimaldi and Miller visited together and are good friends so I wonder if this impacts Miller's decision.

How it relates to UND? Eidsness won't have to be great all tourney in the NCAAs next year, but the Sioux will probably need him to be great for at least part of one of the games.
I agree with this in that a goalie needs to make big saves at key times in order for a talented team to win. For instance, the save Eidsness made against Denver in the Final Five semi where Denver could have tied the game on that 4 on 2 in the 3rd period but Eidsness came up with the big save. If that goes in, it's a totally different game possibly with a totally different outcome. Those are the crucial big saves that the Sioux have not be able to get come NCAA tournament time and especially in the Frozen Four.

does each regiona have 2 sets of officials? also is a wcha ref allowed to ref a wcha game or do they always go with neutral conference refs for all ncaa games? thanks
or do they mix match conference refs to make the pairings?
I believe they pick the best refs from each conference (paired together as a crew) and place them all over but they aren't allowed to do their conferences games. Therefore, for the UND-Yale game we could get refs from CCHA, Hockey East, CHA or AHA. They might just send out CHA and AHA refs since they would be able to do any of the games in this region since there is one team from each of the other conferences but I don't know how much they use refs from these two conferences in the NCAA tourney.

Gregoire for tonight.
-
I can agree. All or none either both are suspended or neither are suspended.
Was Marvin suspended by the WCHA or St. Cloud State for his hit on Genoway? If he was suspended by the WCHA, would Marvin have to sit three games since it would be his second suspension or is that only for game DQ's? Just thinking that might be the rationale behind Marvin not being suspended.

Well said...
kristo you have 4 other players on the ice PASS

anothe hak comment
we dominated play majority of game
we need one here
-
A lot of nice passing to result in a backhand right in to the writing across the goalie's chest...
playing well this period need to get one in and get it started. Hak cant score for them
-
Trupp for tonight.

Friday-VandeVelde(He's Overdue)
-
I'll take Lammy for the first game. Go Sioux!
-
I think Frattin's return could really jump start VandeVelde. I think the one thing missing for Vande has been a big winger that can forecheck and get the puck so it's not always him doing it. I would like to see Frattin join Gregoire and Vande on that top line unless they decide to go with Malone-Vande-Frattin at some point like the end of last season.
-
VandeVelde tonight. Go Sioux!
-
Malone for me Friday. Go Sioux!

It's been awhile since I posted one of these, but this is the potential rosters for 2010 and 2011. Usually expect 15 forwards, 8 d, and 3 goalies. In summary, expect a couple of early departures in 2010. We maybe have room for one forward / one defense recruit in 2011. 2012 is where the action is. We know the Sioux are recruiting Jason Clark, Sahir Gill is going to BU, Nolan Zajac remains available, there are a couple of Bruneteau brothers that play D, and others have been spotted on the bench. I just don't know what to expect from Fink, maybe I will catch a Waterloo Game.

I think Mattson and Rodwell come in next year and St. Clair will play another year of juniors. I think they may bring in Fink but let him know it will be tough for him to crack the line-up and possibly have 16 forwards next year and leave quite a few to come in the next year leaving a huge logjam in 2011. I don't know exactly how it works but I have to wonder if Frattin comes back that he won't be on scholarship which would leave more scholarship money to go around elsewhere which would allow more forwards.

I will be in Duluth for the opening of the new rink. I got my tickets through a Bulldog sesason ticket holder. He could get tickets a while back and ordered 6 extras. Nice to know a few season ticket holders for the Dogs.
