Can't think of anything I'd rather do for spring break than watch my 'Dogs play hockey... sad more Sioux fans aren't thinking that way. I drove 600 miles in a rented yellow pickup truck to see the Final Five for my spring break, after blowing out my transmission coming back from seeing the 'Dogs kill Wisconsin.

Like I said before, if the 'Dogs lose Friday, I won't be too concerned. The 'Dogs lose a lot of Friday games and win more of the Saturday games. The Sioux win a lot of Friday games and lose more of the Saturday games. Friday is more of a must-win for you folks. Not that I wouldn't love to see the 'Dogs win on Friday. That totally sucks, because Isaac is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuglyyyyyyy. Please, do not tease me like that. Ummmmmmmm I'd like to apologize because my brother doesn't know 'Dogs history. And yeah, he was like 3 when they were in the championship game, so I'm sure he did go to bed early.

Predictions: Sioux win 5-2 Friday 'Dogs win 4-3 Saturday 'Dogs win 4-1 Sunday I think the lack of conditioning on the Sioux is really going to hurt. How many times has your team struggled to put away a Saturday game, coming off a Friday win? The 'Dogs usually lose/tie on Friday and win on Saturday (I mean, when they win at all...) If the Sioux have trouble putting away a Saturday game, how much harder will it be to have to play 3 games? I know I'm not the only one who has commented on the conditioning aspect of the Sioux game.

I'll spare you all. But yes, TJ Caig is a huuuuuuuuuuuuge disappointment! 1 goal! Yes! Way to go! Oh wait, he's not a freshman defenseman, he's a SENIOR FORWARD! (I did happen to witness this goal, it was against Wisconsin and I made the trip out there). And Neil Petruic, I'd rip that A right off his chest and slap it on Todd Smith, the hardest working man on the ice. Luke Stauffacher has been a bit of a disappointment, too, in that he should have more than 11 points, but he is still a contributor. The 'Dogs are disappointing this season not because Lucien, Jr. is gone, but because the rest of the people on the team have underachieved. The TALENT is there. Evan Schwabe is still a top scorer in the conference, Tim Stapleton and Marco Peluso have stepped up, and of course my fave Smitty is carrying the defense (with Tim Hambly). But the pieces just aren't adding up. Goaltending, defense, power play, scoring depth: CONSIDERABLY weaker than last year. I am sorry to take so much time to discuss the 'Dogs, but it's not like I started it.

That kid is pretty good, one of his goals was the play of the game. Great puck control and he buried his own rebound. I mean, when I was 13/14 I was smoking crack, so I'm pretty impressed.

Come on, you should at least recognize that name. 3 goalies on the list? What's wrong with people? And let me tell you, Bowling Green is not that good. I saw them last year against UMD and the 'Dogs slaughtered them 6-1. They can't be that much better this year. Of course, Tech sucks but Murphy's been scoring, so I guess that negates my argument. But yeah, where are the WCHA fans? Why aren't they voting?

Wisconsin is absolutely beatable, although I wonder if playing 2 afternoon games on the road might have thrown them off? The 'Dogs lost to Wisconsin 3-2, 3-2 back in Dec. when they were really in a slide. (Meaning, most of the season...) They hung with Wisconsin the whole game, and I think I may have actually seen a LEAD. Last year, Wisconsin could have gained 2nd place in the WCHA if they had put forth a solid weekend against the 'Dogs. However, they came away with one measly point, and the only reason for that is they disallowed a Bulldog goal for some COMPLETE BULLSH-T reason. Of course, their place in the WCHA didn't really matter anyway, as they got raped by the Seawolves in the first round. Wisconsin is a lucky team that can't win when it counts. The 'Dogs are a hungry team who need this win more than Wisconsin. They're turning around their game, starting to score goals, and Isaac seems to have remembered he's an outstanding goaltender. The 5th place game is almost definitely going to be 'Dogs vs. UND at the Ralph, and it's really too bad, because I always like to see the Sioux in the Final Five. I'll really miss you guys this year! (please don't accuse me of flaming, I'm just being silly.) Oh yeah, and lack of sportsmanship?? Wisconsin is a bunch of sadistic goons who don't know jack about hockey!
